Nice brown as well.
Nice swimmy! Always love the pics from that area. I tried to go fishing but as I figured it was a shitshow and I just took the dogs for a walk. Did get to see the tiniest floof ball of a bear cub before it spooked and then saw mom climb a tree. It was right where me and the dogs had been 20 min earlier. Didn't want to stress mom as I was between her and the cub(s) so I got this shitty pic before moving on.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6fb9c62c8e.jpg

I don't live near the mountains, entrance to the Chesapeake Bay near the Bay Bridge tunnel today - my son snagged a 61" cobia for the PB. It was a beast!! Attachment 494147
He had it in the boat in five minutes. I caught a 52" later and it took me 20 minutes, crazy! These things are one giant muscle. Ain't skiing but hunting for these on the top of the water is a blast!
Swimmy!
Great connecting and thanks for the tour! Those shots came out money, send me a few!! Solid couple days of fishing, felt like we had the river all to ourselves today. Fun rowing you into that stud.
Cheers!
Speaking of bears, I posted this in the Montana thread. Had an exciting encounter this week.

Another pic from earlier this week after the snowstorm. No doubt one of my favorite bridges in the world.

I went out today, I caught a small pike minnow, a large sucker, and a couple rainbows:

Up in the Great North Woods of Minnesota pounding Walleye and Pike. This could not be more different than how I fish in Montana but I totally dig it.

Took the boat out on stillwater today, I love going fishing with my oldest. Was pretty slow, we got one dink `to the boat and lost four others near the boat. Pretty sure at least two that we lost were Kokes, would’ve liked to have gotten them into the boat.

Took the advice of underoos, thanks man and went with Billy Rotne. Dude is the Bull Drum master. Super cool dude and a great guy all around. He put me and my girls on some trophy drum, fish of a lifetime. Sight fishing huge drum with floating crab patterns is a riot! The surface takes were unreal! A couple of the giants we landed.

I'm jealous of all the saltwater stoke. You guys are killing it.
Good day of runoff fishing.

Seeing as the rivers are swollen and muddy, I took a run out to "big cutthroat creek" for the first time of the year. The water was higher than I'd ever seen, and the pools I usually ply with drys, were rapid torrents. I was unable to check one of the deep holes though, because as I walked the path toward it, I came upon a moose standing in the trail, and looking at me. I thought it better not to bother with the camera, choosing to back away slowly. It's the first time I've seen a moose in the wild.
I decided that with the fast water, and no action, that I'd switch to a heavy streamer on a sinking poly leader. This got me a feeble bite in one hole, but no results, however, at the deep hole I refer to as the "fish bowl" I got a hard strike, and using my lightning fast reflexes, managed to snag hook a portly 16" cutthroat. Yay for me!

I had no further luck, but the one fish was enough to make the trip worthwhile. The end.
Beauty cutt, Rasputin. Streamer bites are so much fun.
Went fishing with mom yesterday and she got a few action shots:

Today runoff reached another level at all my preferred spots. Oh well.
Took a skiing buddy out on stillwater today, bite was slow till a bit of a chop came up. Got two to the boat.

Didn't take any fish pics like usual but it was on like donkey Kong at the local for the big bugs. Got out Friday and today and enjoyed the great weather and lights out fishing. Had real good time watching guide boys have zero fucking river etiquette, fuck those guys who should be held to a higher standard. Got a bunch of attitude from homeboy after he drove 10mph the whole shuttle and asked him if he knew what a pullout was...don't even get me started on boat ramp etiquette.....
Anyways still great weekend on the water. I need to eat more gummies apparently.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...acc8f64b4c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...26e100ffc2.jpg

Just waiting for the sun to come up and we'll be on the water.
A few from this weekend. Local freestones are absolutely raging so found some summertime fishing on America’s favorite tailwater. Soo busy and no big bugs, don’t go there.

Jealous of everyone getting after it with success. The annual tarpon run was WINDY didn’t see a tarpon until the last morning before we were flying out, got one to eat and she promptly jumped me off. Still so much fun to be down there - even getting my ass handed to me. Local water is HIGH going to be a bit before we have decent fishing. Did manage to make a run over the the Henry’s Fork (along with everyone else in a hundred mile radius) and caught a few. I need to take more pictures.

Slipped off a washed out trail and ripped my waders. I was wearing bifocals and didn't see the hole I stepped into. Rookie move. Caught a ton of pretty little fish, including a few on dries. If I didn't have to pick up kids I'd still be fishing with a wet left leg.

I was focused on guiding my rod through the brush. The hole in the trail is new. I dropped down about five feet fast, hitting bottom before I knew what was happening. I believe all I said was, "that was lucky" because I could have been badly hurt and came away unscathed. A few minutes later when I stepped in the river and water poured in the rip below my knee that I hadn't noticed I felt much less lucky. Whatever. It's repairable. Good day. No injuries. I'll rethink my sunglasses choices when I'm scrambling around.
