Some of my more recent edits; some small projects to get some editing and filming skills. It's been fun to get into a hobby I'm fairly new at. Who knows, maybe it'll turn into something more later on down the road. Open to criticism here, but otherwise enjoy.

No pics but goddamn I'm so sick of peoples shitty boat ramp etiquette. I had my mom and sister in town to go to a fairly popular lake near the MT/Idaho border. We were going to spread my dads ashes as it was the last place I got to fish with him. Despite more than a few "no day use" signs and no stopping for more than 10min signs, I had to wait while a fuckload of kayaks, sups, and assorted floatables just parked on the ramp. I had just enough room to jackknife the trailer next to my boat and load up. People are inconsiderate fucks. /End Rant.

My local river in Northern CO was running black again due to flash flooding in the recent burn scars. Sucks, it’s going to be at least a few years till we see a trout recovery. Lots and lots of dead fish.

Been fishing a stretch of creek on the edge town that everyone ignores and enjoying it more than the nearby rivers people have written guidebooks for. I've loved fishing with nobody around since I was a kid.

Recent trips to fish alpine lakes have been frustrating. Cutthroats sniffing fly after fly unimpressed. Advice welcome.

Not sure where you are, but in Montana a lot of the alpine lakes the trout are feeding below on little teeny tiny shrimp. Go subsurface.Quote:

If you are getting inspections and refusals at the surface, that suggests leader shy fish. Alpine lakes tend to be low in fertility and the bulk of the available bugs tends to be wind born terrestrials, flies, moths, etc. The food on the surface is a bit random, so most of time the fish aren't keyed in on a specific bug. There are exceptions. A huge nest of ants upwind of a lake can get the fish selective. Winged ants are probably the most common food source in august.Quote:
