‘What are Alyeska legs?’ :)

^^ ha yeah that is what I asked when I heard a patroller use the term on the tram yesterday.
I asked how do I get ‘Alyeska Legs’ and he said I had to beat him down NF .. my first thought was wondering if he skied anywhere else and my second was realizing the Alyeska North Face is the longest, steepest consistent pitch in North America ski resort . ( or so I’ve been told)
Maybe there is something to it as I sit here on the couch after 30 days of skiing and only NOW am I sore after a couple Knuckle laps !
And yes Rob the Sins were a little under powered for the conditions , I could believe how deep it was out there !
My fam is headed home for the long weekend. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it. Stupid law school takes all my damn time. North face is looking gooooood. goddamn spokane.
I'm living vicariously though these vids, thanks.
:) That’s what I thought. I was right next to you guys for the exchange and mumbled something about old growth tree trunks. Fwiw I see that patroller in the tram more than all of the others. One exchange with him went something like ‘if ragdoll gate wasn’t there I wouldn’t live here’. It resonated with me. Anywho you shred, love the vids, next time I see you I’ll holler for change and maybe we could spin a lap. Blue coat tele garbage here.
And yesterday was great, I’m sore as fuck today as well.
Good to meet you today Rockcreek! Good snow, eh?!

So the torsional stiffness in these Volant Machete Gravity skis is next level!
In the refrozen hard groomer conditions and race course you can see these things sitting dead nuts steady with zero chatter...
So fun, thanks Rob!

Yes I was thinking of the intro to "Global Storming" with this one
and yes I know the iron was too hot and smoking, I turned it down before baking the ski bases and in the actual audio that is what Im talking about
lol

I was at Aly on saturday, was awesome. Never a line for 6 and still getting untracked in the knuckles at 2! Looked for you but missed you. First time I made the traverse into facet in a good long while!
Yeah Jed it was a good day! All the folks were down at the Tram and 6 was empty... good times!

I took my 13 year old daughter into the backcountry for the first time today! She seems keen about it so I might upgrade her hand-me down gear for next year. The best part, I told her to 'follow my tracks' annnd she did

Awesome. She really did follow your tracks, like exactly. Very good
