How does this even work.
If you reserve and use, do you get credits for more reservations? Since it only allows 9 at a time?
I think it's just a rolling 10 days. Use one, then you have one available to book in the future.
That's sort of my point. If I wanted to take two weeks off work to ski every day, I probably wouldn't be able to if reservations are full. Why do I pay for "unlimited" days with a season pass to then get throttled. BS.
and yes I understand this is to remain open and control crowds with Covid but FFS

AKA if you ski one day which "activates" your pass, can't get reservations for half the season, yer fucked.
I'm sitting this weekend out to see if it's a shitshow. Try and see if its worth deferring to next season.
Current guidance is going to force everyone into reservations, if not they won't be able to manage crowds with the limited lift capacity
If I can wear a mask on an airplane with Covid positive folks and not get it, I can stand in a lift line.
Normally, I’d just go touring but the skin tracks are even more packed.

uggh was really hoping to snag a few early days at crustal before the inevitable reservations system came down. No pass = no play this year.
Fuck. So much for an unlimited pass. I think we need to make some noise while making as many reservations as possible.
In some ways this sucks, but in other ways, I honestly think the reservation system will be a good thing. Hellacious crowds and parking conditions will hopefully be reduced.
Also does anyone have a non base ikon?
I'm curious how many more days the more expensive pass can reserve. That would be Bs at someplace like crystal with no blackouts to begin with.
any chatter on how Summit may adjust their plans based on the newly issued restrictions? I think we have until Dec 7 to defer purchased passes a year....
Balancing out the conversation with the jongiest of posts. Skinned for the first time ever this weekend and made my first turns in the PNW. Decided to go to try at Summit central since I was alone, have no avy education and had to youtube how to use my bindings and skins the night before. Going up was clunky, but surprisingly satisfying. So much to learn but what an exciting thing to get to discover!

Ikon Passholder Reservations
Winter 20/21 will be a different experience for the Ikon Pass community as destinations implement measures to help keep guests, employees, and the local community safe and healthy while providing the best guest experience possible.
The Summit at Snoqualmie is requiring reservations for Ikon Passholders for the 20/21 winter season. Ikon Pass holders will be able to start making reservations on ikonpass.com or through the Ikon Pass app on November 9. More details and information coming soon.
Huh. Not sure what that means for us regular season pass holders, but the lack of specific information there feels like good news for the moment. Fingers crossed.

I'm curious about what happens if/when pass holders show up without a reservation.
I pity the minimum wage lifties that will get stuck with the job of checking reservations and dealing with all the agro that comes with it.
So no reservation for regular pass holders?

Do any of you know if they're allowing non-paid car camping in B lot at crystal this year? Its clear you need a rez for an RV - but I'd like to sleep there in my sienna without getting ass blasted in fees....
And if they're not, are there other nearby places to park overnight? Apologies if this has been already discussed - I have not been following this thread.
well it is now, bruh :the_finge
nah, they'll get stuck badly in their $100k rwd and mob greenwater driveways instead
Yeah that snopark was crammed last year.
Planning to brave the weekend to see how the reservation system works out, will report back.
This is an understatement. FWIW, I have the non-base IKON, and reserved 7 days at JHMR on Nov. 9th with no issues. I assume, however, that folks reserving days at Xtal with an IKON pass are going to run into days that are booked solid. Especially all the primetime weekends and holidays.
The website answers the first question pretty clearly:
https://www.crystalmountainresort.co...d-19-resources
"Car camping is not allowed in any of the parking lots at Crystal Mountain unless parked in a dedicated paid RV site. Only one RV, trailer, van, camper, tiny house or other mobile dwelling allowed per site."
Drive up FS70 and camp behind where the semi truck is parked.
Anyone know what's going to happen if you cancel a reservation the morning it's for? If I wake up and see it rained instead of snowed, I'm not going to bother going.
