Anyone have room on a grill or an extra grill to cook bacon and pork chops?

Nasty upper-resp. crud-bug struck without warning, had to burn 2 sick days Thurs. & Fri.

Cool, thx. That reminds me, I have a 1 burner propane stove that I might be able to my cast iron pan on. Having 2 would be awesome

I have a couple of coleman grills and a stove I can bring. Not sure how many propane bottles I have if someone wants to kick in for some fuel. I can also bring a cast iron griddle, pans, etc.

How are we fixed for tables? Tents?

I'm thinking I'll bring taco supplies for Thursday and Friday. Unless there are other preferences. Something quick and easy to heat and prep is best. From what I remember in my fridge I'm currently set up to do birria and/or bahn mi

I'll bring a couple small camp tables and a handful of chairs. No tent but have camper awning. Hoping ACH can bring his Marker tent

I can bring some Propane bottles for Thursday. Happy to pitch in elsewhere if needed - $$, food, booze, etc

I have at least 3 bottles I'll bring, and I'll throw in my cast iron pan.

My 1 burner stove has a stand base that goes on a bottle. It would be very tricky to keep it upright with a cast iron pan on it.

There will for sure be enough open creeks for (un/intentional) pondskimming. All options still on the table haha.

A couple of notes:

Outtatowners know where to go and how to get there?

Lot 4 is the last lot at Alpental, end of the road. Coming from the west... exit 52 and left under the freeway. Coming from the east... exit 53 for East Summit. Don't go past it otherwise you'll have to make a loop down on the west side of the pass.

Overnight parking is in lot 3 at Alpy, or along the east bank of the lot at the bottom of Reggie's chair at Summit Central (Tanner Way, by the Edelweiss condos and patrol bldg).

The road to Mt Dweebus has reopened after multiple landslides had it closed for days. This should let the Ikonoklastic Dentitites back up to their soup bowls. It is also the off-weekend for skischool... hopefully crowds are under control.

The coverage is pretty good on the upper mountain but there are open creeks, death holes, and the usual fuckery of old refrozen debris and logs and shit amongst the cliffs.

Ski within your knowledge of the terrain, don't just let em roll. There might be a couple of tourguided laps but just take it easy if you don't know what's below.

If you're an Ikon passholder, you still have to get a day ticket at the window.

Keep the substances out of sight and use discretion, Natl Forest land and all.

Ready for the beating

Can't make the opening day festivities, but I'm planning on making it out to the golf course to spin a few laps Thurs. evening if anyone wants to join.

Where by golf course I mean recycling center and by recycling center I mean Summit West.

I will be fully in attendance for Friday's festivities. Jury's still out on Sat. morning, depending on how the 'yakyard is looking. Sunday and Monday are extra credit days and the forecast is looking decently mediocre for the entire shebang
