Go on, admit it. It's a man purse.
Give it a year or two. I've had the small bifold in chestnut for maybe 7 years now and it looks infinitely better than it did when it was new. The finish on a brand new one is fairly matte and unremarkable, but after years in my pockets and various sorts of abuse, it's developed a nice sheen and is far softer than it was new. It's the piece of Saddleback anything that I own, but I'm a fan.
Can you slip a passport into it? Like the front cover in a flap, for when it's handy.
No, it’s not THAT yuge
ETA...well, it is about that size but no, it won’t fit inside

Big skinny wallet. Going on 10 years and mine still looks new. Hate fat wallets. Minimalism at its best.

I have a 52 year old friend who has had the same velcro nylon wallet since he was 15. Lost and found twice. The velcro doesn’t really work any more.
As a collector of vintage gear, Van's shoes, etc my experience has been that even when something's built to last a lifetime we grow tired of things. Newer designs, innovation, different features cause us to walk back that "forever" thought more often than not.
A gun and one bullet.
Buy enough "Forever" stamps and you're all set.
That’s kind of the whole point of the Bellroy. About the same size. I can’t see every day use as I’m s front pocket guy but it’s great for travel.

land. last i checked, not making more of it.
I'm 35, the only objects that I'd wager that I have (and remain functional) until I die are my cast iron skillets. One was an old one I bought at a thrift store. It's the best thing ever. The newer, larger one I sanded down until it's smooth and reseasoned, but it still isn't quite as good. Still nice though.
I'm sure some of my tools will probably make it, but i wouldn't bet on which they will be. Most are pretty cheap. If I actually wear them out then I'll consider buying better ones. I can't imagine I'd break my jack stands given their construction and how infrequently I use them, so I'll bet on them.
I can't imagine any of my wardrobe making it the hopeful 45+ years I have left, nor my shoes, though I resole the nicer ones. I also like energetic dogs. That lowers the possibility a bit.
This has been flooding my instagram feed-- https://grip6.com
Not very exciting, but definitely the end-all.
I used to think my Toyota Tacoma was an EOL truck. It's 7 years old with 70k km, it should be good for at least 300k km which at present usage puts me at about 75yo. The only problem is I'll probably want a new one when they come out with all electric ones and gas is $20/l.
On a completely different level than anything mentioned before, but this morning my 2.5 year old son and I were having a tea party with his little tin tea set. It was just really nice and I suspect that if he has kids someday, they'll be able to play with the same tea set when they come to visit (and maybe his kids' kids if I happen to be still around). It just has a totally different feel than most of his plastic toys.
I've got a real horse race going with these bad boys. It's neck and neck.

My old 1960 Willys CJ5 was gonna be a lifetime purchase. Unfortunately I fell asleep driving it and things didn't end well. 25 years later and it still bugs me that I did that.
Well you're still alive, it didn't end all that badly.
I laughed. But yeah.
That’s the OG Iceman, Otzi
Well this Otzi right here bought a new hip about 10 days ago. I sure hope it's a keeper.
I get the other half as soon as I make the final payment.

This old steel Guerciotti. I’m not fast enough to need a lighter/fancier bike. Although, I may actually die on it due to how people drive...
I picked up a damn near mint '84 Schwinn Airdyne last week. It's a tank, everything but the seat is steel. Should be good for at least another 35 years of ass kicking.
