What about peanut butter and bacon? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c3e8c0be6f.jpg
I just couldn’t pull the trigger on a 4 pack... would’ve bought a single if it was an option. Just to try it

Chocolate-Strawberry Whale Cake from BBC. Easily discernible flavor profiles. BBC scores again!

If you're a stout fan and live in the Boulder area, you owe it to yourself to check out the Oatmeal Stout (on nitro) at Finkel and Garf in Gunbarrel. Probably the best beer I've tasted.

Attachment 229174 Attachment 229175 Had these two the other night. KBS is still my all time fave.
Might pour the next on a tad more gentle

This is a great stout!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...210b1b7c06.jpg
Picked up a quarter barrel of this on Tuesday. Such an inappropriate beer to have on tap as we near summertime but fuck it, ya know?

^ha!

Not a huge fan of stone but it had been a while since I'd had their RIS, so I figured I'd give it a try. Decent but not great

BBCo Dream Eater.
Double Stout with Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal, coffee, vanilla, and lactose.

Thoughts? I loved it. Could totally taste the cereal and the sugar. Only grabbed one, I will purchase a four, next time.
BBC is on it.
I just found a newish brewpub in Redmond, OR, that only serves cask-conditioned ales, served via beer engines; their stout is very good. Recommended.

i lived a block from the high st. cafe eugene in the mid to late 80s and they were definitely not the mcdonalds of brew pubs. they found success. whatever they are now, terminator has stayed pretty consistent and if i end up at a mcmenamins now that's still what i have.
high st. was the first microbrewery in eugene since prohibition i think. it fit right in. it didn't seem schticky at the time. it was unique. then they started to expand and seemed to try to stay true to the original personality and that was their apparent on-site culture, decoration, workers, etc. it did seem to become premeditated over time. lots of one unique thing is no longer unique, plus at the same time they were growing , the microbrewery scene was starting to take off.
i have many fond memories of trying to drink myself whole at high street and staggering home only to realize i still had a hole.
Think I may have posted this one before, but one of my faves this time of year

Just learned that Alameda brewing is going out of business 11/3 for good. Get your Black Bear XX while you can.
Was in Burlington last weekend for daughters UVM visit......got these on a rec from friend.....haven’t tried them yet, hope they’re good?

Update:
Both are decent...but prefer the 14th Star over the BBC. The 14th Star is a little smoother.
It is almost that time of year for all the new releases. Stout as dark as your mom and as thick is 50k mile motor oil.
Let see how bad GI can screw up BCBS this year.
Delayed again but I finally found a good Texas beer.
Temptress Stouthttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8fba882312.jpg
Brewed a Mexican Chocolate Imperial stout with Hatch Green Chilis, Cinnamon, Cocoa nibs, and Vanilla paste. Super rich.
Southern Tier Mint Chocolate, get your hands on it if you can. one of the best dessert beers i’ve had

I have an affinity to the tried and true.
It was good enough for the Czar.
