I haven't even heard a single note from Nokturnel Oak and I already think they are the greatest band that's ever exsisted. Anybody know what their logo looks like?

two different bands
I've been diggin Nemecide lately.
Saw a co-workers band play for the first time last weekend and really enjoyed the show, they had tons of energy on stage... not as heavy as a lot of the stuff posted here but check 'em out, maybe you'll dig em too.

Can't find a vid for "A Leg To Stand On", song fucking rips.
Was going to post a slew a songs but now I can't remember anything.
Isis is a weird band. I can't stand a couple of their albums (random aside: I like to pronounce it "abbums"), but Celestial has some heavy and creative riffs I can listen to over and over. Like this: EDIT: forgot to mention last 3+ minutes is horseshit (my opinion), first 6 is cool.
And this:
COC, Hatebreed, Kingdom of Sorrow, Black Sabbath
i posted these in the concert thread but i've been listening to them lately
neurosis

I've resisted buying the new (post prison) Burzum albums (Fallen and Belus) for years but now that I've caved, they are actually pretty good.
Also been listening to Agalloch lately. Pale Folklore and The Mantle. I lost track of them years ago and haven't heard any of their newer stuff. I used to really hate John Haughm's vocals, but for some reason they don't sound too bad now.
been digging these two discs :
i ran across this the other day and have watched it about 5 times already.
the band is gojira (means godzilla in japanese) but the video is a fan video compilation effort thing
....wait for it...
RIP Dimebag
I've been digging In Flames and Soilwork a bunch lately. Any SoCal people into In Flames? They're doing a couple local-ish stops in Feb, I'm going down to San Diego to see them...
Lamb of God, Hatebreed, Crowbar.
Non-metal favorites are Tool and Deftones.
Gotta love some Nailbomb

Ive just gotten into metal, but since I am new to tgr I cant post videos. But Ive been listening to Bergtatt by Ulver, Ecailles de Lune by Alcest, Wolves in the Throne Room, and some Agalloch (although the singers voice sometimes gets annoying/corny).
Here ya go:
..and some new stuff (not metal, but excellent nonetheless):
I too could never get used to John Hauhgm's voice. Kris Rygge rocorded some of the most vicious vocals of all time on Natten's Madrigal, but I prefer his clean vocals. Both Bergtatt and Natten's Madrigal were great, but they are much better as an electronic outfit. Ulver is the only band I know of who so dramatically changed genres yet kept the same atmosphere to their music.
Really been digging these three bands
First is Pallbearer, Show No Mercy/Pitchfork has this at #1 on this list

Dor de duh, kind of symphonic/folky
Witch Mountain, Chick singer.
Absolutely love metal. One of my favorite bands that I started listening to a bit more recently is In Flames. For some reason I just really enjoy every one of their songs.
What happens when you mix Pantera, Crowbar, and COC - you get Down
