Spent 15 minutes at the trailhead trying to figure out why my xo1 drivetrain wouldn’t go into the big cog. Moved the barrel adjuster all over the place, but it seemed like it was binding against the limit screw. And then with the barrel adjuster all the way up, it wouldn’t go into the small cog. No amount of fiddling would get it working. Then I picked up the bike and realized the wheel had a lot of play: thru axle had worked itself loose. The rear triangle was spread out by about one cog which was keeping the derailleur from going all the way. Tightening the axle got everything lined up again. And then of course I spent the next 3 hours of riding trying to unfuck all the adjustments I had made trying to solve the problem.
