I've come to the conclusion Florida is less a place and more a state of mind. Sure there are suburbs in Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville etc. plus affluent areas with lots of money. However, i swear, having just come back from working in Miami last week, every piece of white trash floods into the state for the allure of "easy living" and good times. There is validity to your concerns. So many NE bluehairs and scallywags moved in jacked the prices up and took the quality of life down its been pushing the locals north. My parentals retired to the blueridge and I spent loads of time knocking around those hills. Got a lot of friends (that didnt get into pills) that moved near Charlotte or Raliegh. The pill heads are either dead dieing or stealing anything not bolted down.
