Here in the northeastern US, the lunar eclipse occurred rather high in the sky, so it was difficult to find something interesting to put in the foreground. The tallest things around here are churches so I went to see what I could find.

It was cloudy here last night, but a few years back standing at the Rainbow Bridge overlook you could see a full lunar eclipse in one direction and a comet in the eastern sky with Donner Lake in the foreground. The comet was as long in the sky as Donner Lake was wide.
Thanks! I knew there would be tons of pictures of the just the eclipsed moon coming out from last night so I was aiming to find some opportunities to photograph the event in a unique way.Quote:
