Erm, so basically, my friend sends me this link to a video, which I greatly enjoy and am somewhat moved by (given the context), so feel compelled to share with what I once assumed was an online ski community. It prompts a decent degree of debate, and an agreeable amount of apparent appraisal of Candide's talents (and indeed the editors). The thread then dies a death, as almost all on such forums do and we move on. It seemed. The thread was then revived, not because somebody who had missed it first time around happened upon it, but because a bunch of internet morons decided it was appropriate to bicker, at length, about some absurdly banal imperfections in the video (considering its overall radness) which then disintegrates into some sort of incomprehensibly infantile internet pissing contest. What the fuck is wrong with you people (and I mostly mean you Blurred)? Honestly, do you not have anything better to do? Weak, almost weak enough to persuade an incredulous onlooker such as myself to keep my shit to myself when I next happen across something cool.

That was the first video in a long time that actually made me want to ski, let alone in the middle of Summer. I've always thought Candide was one of the best all around skiers. I had a chance to meet him and take a run at Breck a long time ago and all he wanted was to smoke weed..kind of funny I guess. Great athlete regardless. The Kreitler comparison kind of made me chuckle..really? To each his own. Maybe when Kreitler first came on the scene with Morrison and others. It was all stoke back then.

Candide is easily one of the most fluid riders on the planet. He just has that easy and nonchalance that makes it look so easy. Smoking bowls with Candide and shredding Breck... Shit man, does it get any better than that?
