Lifts usually run until Early May.
Edit: and I doubt any lifts will be running with the incoming mega storm System.

Nice!
Make sure the new Grand Montets is operational if you go there. Think its supposed to be done this year?
Not saying its a bad place but being on the Ikon and not having its one worthwhile lift should give anyone serious pause when there are 20+ equal or better destinations.
Nice to see Europe getting hit early wish I hadn't chosen this to be the year I get a local seasonal condo would be ready to book a flight tomorrow quick relative/work visit. Fly with boots only and be stoked with 3-4 days.
Next week looks pretty dope in the west. I may get the magic pass ( late I know 150 more than in may...) because my whole crew has it and i have a week scheduled in the lötschental with the kids....
Edit: but since I've found out you can't give it to someone else I may just go day Ticket...
Doing the snow dance for a goodie early season!! On the ticket front I am in the Wallis for a week in Feb with the fams. Thought the Magic Pass was a deal but just checked a 7 day pass Val A pass. 290CHF for adults and 150 for kids. Would need to ski a bunch in CH Magic Pass resorts to make that work.
Huh? Arent all contemporary cards/tickets enforced by comparing the start picture (when you first go trough the gate/ticket office) and then each subsequent pass trough the gate (cameras in each gate)? It can work, but you need very similar or basically the same helmets/goggles. Last time I was on paper cards/tickets was in 2017 in Japan.
Dude, Im Bulgarian, here we hold 1st place in the EU for many backward stats :fmicon: but when I load my card online on the way to the lifts, a pic is automatically snapped on the first pass trough the gate (cameras integrated in each gate) and compare it every time I go again. There is basically a guy in each gate booth, who stares at the screen the whole day comparing pictures, preying, hunting for passes to pull lol https://www.skidata.com/en-gb/soluti...access-control

They take a picture and estimate height everytime you pass through the gate. Attachment 474683

K and I did this for years when whippersnapper #2 skied only the bunny hill and she took #1 in the AM or PM for real runs. Never had an issue and K is about 1/2 a Geo ;) worked at Saas, Les D, etc so not somewhere small like Champex. That being said that was a good few years back so Skidata might have sold the areas some fancy new shit.
I've done it all the time..last year as well. That's why I was confused.
That being said I think the Magic Pass checking is more systematic. I remember last year at Villar/Les D checkers in-line with iPad thingies. But as noted the price I just saw for 7 days is 40CHF a day and kids 22. Tough to beat unless you are teacher with all those holidays and can get your money out of the small area days on the Magic pass.
Hey banzai, did the willhaben deal workout for you?
Yeah...well I'll go 7 days I guess... friends got a chalet im lötschental and my other ski buddies are either travelling America with the kids for a year or also have the magic pass ( in may for 399... [emoji30] ).
It's so far from here for the weekend....
OR I'll get a St. Bernard season pass sn ski fouly champex for 169!! [emoji6]
Or maybe not.
Oh there goes the neighborhood. Im a magic pass owner. Or rather...my wife is. Let's see if I go to prison. [emoji3]
