Ya, I'm definitely ready for the holidays. FD with the hook and scored some Maine beers. This isn't even all of it which is kinda crazy when I think about the $$$ in beer. Truly kind of stupid and even embarrassing.

Man the Toppling Goliath stuff lives up to the hype. So damn drinkable! Abrasive this year was the best I've had in a while. There were a lot of old cans sitting around but the fresh were awesome.
^^ You finding Surly & TG in UT or not quite that easy?
Hell no! I wish. All fedexed back to myself from MN. TG came straight from Decorah

hey shredgnar, douche your PM's!!
interested in your feedback on the Second Fiddle, Julius, and Curiosity 23
Ha, douched them a while back, must just not be working.
I think that the Julius was my favorite of the three. I've never been a big fan of cloudy IPAs, seems the yeast can detract from the hops, that said, they were all three very tasty and I couldn't detect any off flavors from the yeast so these have changed my mind.
I'd say, it went Julius, Twenty Three, Second fiddle. Liked all three, drank them three different days so as not to overwhelm the pallet. Second Fiddle was more piney and heavier than the other two, and I tend to lean more towards citrus which was the Julius. Twenty Three (where does that name come from?) was a nice, lighter bodied IPA that I also enjoyed. Of course it has been a few weeks of heavy drinking since I tried them so my impressions might be a little hazy ;)
I had a HT the other night for the first time in a while and I'd have to say that it's probably not in my top 5 beers right now and I haven't even had a Treehouse yet.
Bissell Brothers is at the top of my list right now.
After this Christmas season I am officially over IPA's. I am dead tired of over hopped beer. It's like some kind of contest to see how much "hoppiness" you can cram into a bottle.
My New Year's resolution? Pilsner
Actually, the Swish is even better. But yes, had a Substance and then a HT last night. Maybe my palate was blown, but I wished I had opened another Substance instead.
I'd like to line up a sample of many of the great beers we have available on EC right now and see which one would be my actual favorite. Not sure it's possible though. A Swish will definitely destroy your palate for anything else.
I'd like to try some sour beers to change it up a bit. I do like the stouts and porters also, but the hoppy stuff is currently my favorite.
