I’m enjoying all the posters here that are calling for immediate military intervention. How many of you have been in combat? I know there’s a few including myself. I doubt that those calling for intervention have been in combat and won’t be heading over there if it comes to that.

I think the real problem is Russia has a bit of leverage with Europe's massive dependency on their natural gas so some sort of a amicable solution would be ideal for everyone. One thing I know for sure is rich folks don't like losing money and when billionaires are looking at becoming millionaires things can change fast. In ANY country there are a group of people that can swing things quickly and it's not the plumbers union or the poor sap standing in line trying to withdraw a couple hundred rubles to get vodka and bread for the night.Quote:

I am wondering if some of the west's standoff guided munitions can be fitted to the Soviet era aircraft the Ukraniand posess. That 40 mile russian convoy would be smoking char if the U.S.A could unleash the Apaches and A 10s along with a couple of B 52 flights standing off letting munitions fly.
Clearly the Ukranians dont have equipment to mimic A10s and Apaches, but do they have any old russian Bears that can be equipped to drop smart bombs from standoff positions? I doubt it, and the Bears are 65 or 70 year old prop planes that must make the easiest targets ever created for any anti air system. It just seems if the west could Jerry rig a couple of delivery wagons to offload 50 tons of munitions, it could really impact the next few weeks of this war.
