They rebuilt mine last year without issues. I deal with all the air can service myself but didn't feel like dealing with a damper bleed due to lack of time/tools/skills.
They did a good job minus failing to remove the travel limiter in there which was one of the requests I put on the service form then discussed with the boss in person when I dropped off the shock. Shock had to be reopened/re-bled to increase the stroke. Not a big issue as I wasn't in a rush but it might speak to the fact that everyone in there is super busy and shit falls by the wayside.

This was actually on my service form as well. Now that I think about, I was so distracted by the other crap that I didn't confirm that they actually did this when I picked it up. I'd better air it down and confirm.

I had the rolla ma jig on an XTR der and it was awesme for keeping the shifting consistant cuz the shifting would go for a shit cuz of the smoo in that last 9" of cable but for i think 7$ the rolla ma jig kept it all shifting great

Wife's new whip arrived today, picked it up direct from the Revel HQ. Coming off a 6 year old Evil Calling with a blown X2, this is going to be a nice step up for her.

I just bought a pair of Smith Wildcats. It's bright, windy, and dry out here in the desert so my sunglasses just keep getting larger and larger.

Yesterday a new dropper post came in for my old Bronson. I rode it on trails for the first time in a while when my brother was visiting and wouldn't you know it, the Reverb stuck down before even the first climb (in fairness, after an initial failure out of the box, I got 5 years out of that Reverb with minimal issue). It was a 125mm post and I was always going to replace it with something longer, but instead I got a 100mm post, as I found a Brand X model on CRC for $57. I don't put a lot of trail miles on the bike now, so I'm sure it will do its job. To reach the $75 free shipping mark, I also bought an Endura long sleeve jersey that seems really nice for $27.

My last bike had Guides with 200mm Front and Rear and had better power than my current bike with Codes and 180mm Fr & Rr . So I threw on a 200 up front. I think that will be the ticket.

It'll probably help if you put the she's spherical washers in the right place so that the pads actually contact the rotor.

For those of us keeping track at home, would a set of he's spherical washers do the trick or should I see if I can get some she's?

I got a set of him&her's spherical washers from our wedding registry and can confirm you'll need the she's.

But yeah...adapter should sit flush between the fork and the caliper, and flipped the right side up...

I thought a set of spherical washers had both genders. The he nests into the she.

Once you get the adapter and washer situation sorted out, return the rotors and get the thicker SRAM HS2s for even more power.

So after a super shitty, quick and lazy install, I fished around online for the install instructions and started over.
I reminded myself that these kits have multiple parts to cover a variety of situations and that it is usual for some parts to be leftover and not installed.

With the spherical washers added to the longer end of the adapter, I was uncomfortable with the amount of bolt inserted into the fork.

The pads now have full contact with the new disc. Yay.

the spherical washers go above the caliper because with the spacer it sits at an angle relative to the bolt. Without them you're bending the bolt when you tighten it down and also just the edge of it is digging into your caliper which is not ideal plus makes it harder to center. Looks like you may have to go get some longer bolts, and obviously you need different lengths now with the adapter. I want to say right lengths are 35 and 30mm with a 20mm adapter and spherical washers (and threads are M6x1.0).

Better bolts has nice titanium ones...

Just to add: this depends on the caliper. Newer sram stuff has conical washers (or just regular washers) on the bolt head side of the caliper only. Older ones (including some of the more recent "ebike" versions that use older caliper designs) use conical washers on both sides of the caliper.

Is that a generic knock-off Sram adapter? The hardware is definitely not Sram.

I finally got my BTLOS Carbon wheelset mounted up! Bare wheelset came in at 1550g, and almost on the dot at 1600g after tapes and stems were added. 30mm internal on 28H DT350 hubs with CX-Rays. I went with a trail carbon layup on the front and the enduro layup on the rear. I'm soooo stoked to get these out on the trail, it should be almost a full pound lighter than my alloy wheel set, plus I'll save 200g or so on DHF over Assegai and Dissector over DHR. That's a lot of rolling weight gone!

It's SRAM, but I got it off Amazon, so prolly re-packaged with a mish mash of whatever hardware was at hand. I guess I shoulda gone with tried and true Universal Cycles.

Hey Dee - what's the verdict on that Bosch pump? Does it move enough volume to seat a tire?

I'm in the market for a mini compressor and those Bosch ones seem pretty nice in the size / price categories.

It does not have enough air push to seat a tire. It's great for top ups, or even complete fills from flat, but not enough to seat a tire.
I use it on a fleet maintenance, and can set it to 22psi clamp it on and hit go, and do other things as its fills and then it automatically stops at 22psi. I can top up/fill 30+ tires on a single charge.

Right on. Thanks for the info. I wonder if any of these little tankless compressors can blast enough air to set a bead, because that'd be handy to have in the truck.
