If I close it, she says don't close it, I'm going back out there. It's been open for minutes. Close the goddamn door. Grr. But I love her.

I think the old "gotta close the windows" mindset is misguided if it's followed too stringently--a lot of people (including me) were raised that way and they can't let it go. There's something to be said for having the windows open while running the heat and/or AC, at least temporarily. You need to get fresh air in the house somehow.
I've posted this before but, my wife will simultaneously open every window in the house, while complaining about how dusty our house is. It is mind bottling. Next thing you know, there's flies buzzing around and she wonders where they came from.Quote:
