I have heard from an Xtal employee that Xtal will be back to unlimited days on the Ikon pass for the 2024-2025 season.

Crystal Mountain will begin offering direct to lift access with new RFID technology at all major lifts.
Crystal Mountain will open a new Midway Yurt, featuring grab and go snacks, drinks, and retail.
I was actually happy when RFID went away several years ago. I'd rather tease a teenager who is a little slow with the hand gun than wait for Ikon idiots to figure out why they are an idiot.
Looks like they got their first dusting at the summit this morning. Stoke is building feeling the air get cold/wet in the city the past couple of weeks.
Sorry this is the anti-stoke, I.e. "Alterra is a piece of crap, but not quite as bad as Vail" thread.
Try here for the stoke thread, or wait until the new season thread pops up in 6-8 weeks. Jong.
This is never a good sign.
ALTERRA MOUNTAIN COMPANY EXPANDS LEADERSHIP TEAM
Also nice (ironic) picture on the article. I guess it's within 1,000 miles of Denver...
The new Alterra management at Crustal is the most aggressive, meanest, stingiest, cheapest, most vicious suckjackals of malign intent yet.
“”, she will lead the company’s overarching strategy to leverage its real estate portfolio to deliver added value to our operating businesses””
Christ help us.
This was always the path for Crystal. The influx of population and expendable income into the Seattle metro area just made it too tasty to pass up.
Crystal is also in desperate need for more Blue Groomer terrain to cater to that target audience. [emoji6]
Hopefully that was generated using AI.
I hope all the environmental purists of Pugetopolis are proud of the near-monopoly that they've created for the corporate overlords to exploit.
Venture capitalists rule, the poor get fuct
Apparently even Crystal management has realized that the size of the new base lodge is undersized. Therefore the tent has been slightly relocated uphill. It feels good to spend $1900 on a season ticket and then get sit at a picnic table in a tent for lunch. Plus Alterra has hinted that they might do something to improve the skiing experience... Maybe some time in the future.
Not sure if the lack of crowds last year can be attributed to not having a base lodge, (it was probably more so due to the $$$ and ikon restrictions) but I’ll gladly freeze eating outside if it means another winter of moderate lift lines….
It's almost as if the corporate jackoffs from Denver don't know what NW skiers care about.
Wanna bet they're (Alterra) gonna IPO before too long?
they won't ipo until they have a couple years experience juicing the numbers with real estate flips first
That press release reeks of pre-IPO positioning/peacocking.
