It was very touchy above 2000m. Weak deep layer....
Check the little dot in the second picture....
Well, turns out my ABS Pack is still functional after all these years.

Yikes! Biggest danger I handled today where the masses of people at the ski hill. Every damn ski club from Oberstdorf to Weilheim. Took two laps and bailed for home. Tomorrow morning will be crickets.
what tha fuck are you doing man!!!
the most funny powderalerts should remain. it is a constant in winter in need.
stay safe
Yeah going into the couloir wasn't the smartest thing. But the rocks you see in the second picture Held no snow before the slide. It was a small pocket in the couloir, not the whole face.
That run whose name starts with an "L"?
Yeah.
Yikes. Spookballz.
OMG! relieved you came out ok. We played it a bit safer on Friday, snow was really fluffy!

Alrighty, one more question. Our first stop is the Dolomites on the way to family in Berchtesgaden. I'm having a difficult time finding information if Pistenskitouren are allowed or not in the Val Gardena / Seiser Alm / Alp de Suisi resort area. Anyone have any tips? Thanks!
Snow cannon are running flat out - pistes are pisted

I tried to figure this out. It seems it is forbidden if not explicitly allowed by the local resort. The alpine club had some overview of the possibilities but it seams dead by covid since last winter (https://alpenverein.it/unterwegs/ber.../pistentouren/).
...so better ask the local tourist info, they will be able to check for you. But be a bit careful so you don't get fined.
Was fabulous today despite only Chaux Express open. Saturday will be orgasmic if the sun shines and a bit more opens

I'm sure it was excellent!
I would have sprung for a day ticket but I could only manage a half day.
Will probably be at ovronnaz tomorrow.
Hope things will be able to stabilize. Probably need it to warm up quite a bit for everything to bind up nice a good for the rest of the season.

Does anybody have experience skiing in Benasque, Spain? If so, how is it?
Also, Val d'Aran looks pretty cool. Anybody know of anywhere cheap to stay in that area?
Any other Pyrenee recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Today a slide took a Fourteen year old down in Tirol. 2 other Teenager severely hurt in the same slide.
No transceivers in the group. Deep instabilities. 80m wide and the full snowpack went.
We stayed in the trees. Was alright. [emoji6] Attachment 396234
