$4M for Walter White's house. Presumably you get to keep any meth or cash you find

Was this a Jazz player’s old house?

Ha that has to be the Terror Ridge MTB trail on the peak in the background of the first pic. And pic 43 has someone skinning up on the TV, next time I hike the Lime Kiln trail I'll have to bring binocs and peek into that bathroom to see who's watching a ski movie.
^ If it is he got very nice design advise. Unlike other zillow posts in here he skipped the urban-thug look, no stripper poles in the living room, no quadruple locks on the spa-room doors, no eight flat panel TVs in the living room.
Pic #64 shows jersey #44 on the television, does that tell us anything?
There's a lot to like, 25 acre lot, all metal roof, floor to ceiling windows, open kitchen & all top end appliances, curved view-rail staircase. The listing says automated lighting and from the pics I'd infer all motorized shades, (sounds like Lutron or equivalent), I spotted one two-sided fireplace. Lots of tile that seems to be done well, even the driveway is made look like big pieces of tile. The only thing that seems out of place is the man-made flowing water feature, personal preference not really my thing and high maintenance in a cold climate.
My wife sent me that last night and said “you maggots need to win the fucking lottery so I can buy this house”. She loves it. Cmon mega millions or whatever we keep wasting money on.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but even a $1B jackpot won't let you buy this house after taking the "50% up front" option, splitting with 100 other mags, and paying taxes. We'll have to buy it as a consortium, which might actually be better. I'd be happy to just stay a week or two a year and fuck a whole lot of paying for maintenance and utilities solo.
What do you think that place costs to insure, and will it even be possible in the near future?

gawdawful pile on a pretty nice spot above the river
That listing is suspect, it says 5 bedrooms and 5 full baths. From the floor plans I count 6 beds and 4 baths. You'd think if some agent is trying to sell a $4.8 MM home they put in some effort to get the listing correct.
Three bedrooms on the 2nd floor share one bath. Which means with the open-to-below, mezzanine-balcony hallway design it's gonna be awkward when someone has to walk done the open balcony hallway in the middle of the night just to go urinate.

Unique Disney-themed spaces infuse whimsy into the luxurious design, including Swiss Family Robinson-inspired bunkrooms and a replica of Disneyland's Tiki Hut. The 27,080-square-foot pool barn, standing 53 feet tall, is poised to house a swimming pool, exercise area, and vast event space. A 2,266-square-foot tunnel, reminiscent of a Star Wars episode, seamlessly connects the main house to the pool barn.
Tiki is life.
worth considering

That place ^ is fucking awful. I have never in my life seen salvaged doors used as sheathing. The entire place has to be absolutely filled with reused crap and poorly done everything.
All that and 65 miles to BS.
I know that place. Looks like they have cleaned up the yard quite a bit for the sale, it used to have a ton of junk cars, multiple non-running riding lawn mowers, and broken patio furniture scattered all over the place.
Look at all the stains in the ceiling. Yikes!
I took a look at a place north of town a few years ago that was a total Manson family compound and I don't think it was a scary as this.
Just burn it down and start over.
100% this place is dirt for sale
You wonder sometimes what the worst guy on the jobsite is doing pulling crap out of the dumpster is doing. That... that is what he is doing.
Its like I don't need sheet rock all the way up the wall, or all the way down it, or tape or mud, or more than 3 screws or sheet rock any at all, hell or even insulation, sometimes I don't even sheet the outside of the house or cover the sheeting.
Trim, WTF is trim?
