I got that same set of Wera hex tools for Xmas too. My 30-year old set from Bondhus is worn out on the 4mm and 5mm ends.

LOL, true, but TBH, it was because the Lyric and Super-Deluxe I wanted in order to make this frame a 150/160 are not available until May or June. Figured it was a good a reason as any to try some CC squishy bits and whatnot.
I'm running the same fork/caliper/rotor combo (in 203) on my big bike, so good. I used to like Shimano rotors until I moved to the Galfers. After installing the Galf I thought they were too bendy and would end up rubbing all the time. Hasn't happened once so far, they're vastly superior to the Shimano offering in terms of staying straight.Quote:

While recovering from a bad injury in Nov, I decided this was probably a good season to focus on some fitness and long rides and try something a little new.
I’ve never had an actual road bike, always just put slicks on a gravel or cx bike.
Had a good time putting this build together. Now just gotta get somewhere with some dry roads.
Late Feb Tucson trip is looking likely.

Haha. I know. AXS helps the cause, as does Stealthamajig. This setup wasn’t that bad., the hoses come out of the tape and go under the stem, but yep, through the bearings.
The Abbey cutting guide helps. It works great with the fork on the bike, just swing the bike down in the stand.

I like the leather look grip tape against everything else super carbony. I might have to do that to my road bike.
Struggling with the following purchase...
Backstory: The GF got a Specialized Stumpy Comp Alloy last spring and has taken to mtb faster than I/she thought. The bike fits her like a glove but it's kind of heavy and doesn't have the best component buildout (duh). Spec has the Evo Comp carbon on sale right now for less than what she paid for her current bike. She's expressed she wants to do more park riding this year. The Evo is definitely better suited to mix in some park days here and there and some shuttling, we have multiple spots around town for that too.
This decision is kind of a no brainer I think, but I'm really hung up on what the uphill performance difference will be between the two. The Evo carbon is lighter than her Stumpy alloy, so there's that.
