Can anyone tell me WTF is wrong with fucking Craig Kimbrel? Watched this guy all season and saw him give up a few bombs and blow or nearly blow a few, but ever since the playoffs started the guy just seems completely off. I'm sure the Sox are studying him to see what the story is (could he be tipping his pitches, too?), but this is getting out of hand.

He's throwing hard but his control isn't there - it's not off by much, he's pretty much just missing, but then he gets in a hole and has to throw it down the middle and they're hitting it. Yeah, maybe Kelly's the guy. And you're right, he obviously has not thrown enough strikes early--but that just goes back to the original question--WTF is going on to suddenly lose your control like that? I have a slightly irrational fear of Brasier simply because the first few times I saw him he struggled (mostly got the job done, but ugly). I think he struggled in his first appearance in the playoffs, too. I like Kelly's experience, and he seems like he doesn't give a shit about anything but shutting hitters down, so I assume pressure doesn't get to him (hasn't so far). 100+ doesn't hurt, either.Quote:
