After a fizzle yesterday the tail end of the storm picked up the slack
So yeah, we didn't get jinxed but it felt that way yesterday afternoon skiing a closed resort that should have been open if not for over the top forecast hype

I just got back to Reno last night after a month of being home over winter break.. I heard it snowed a little bit here while I was gone?
Just left SV. Lifts aren't spinning until 11. Lots of bombs firing.
89 just opened according to dot
I think last night's storm under-delivered a little in the Incline area, and I'm pretty pleased that it did.
Been hearing bombs at AM for a little while now. Only a few though.
Fukit!
Just heard AM rd closed for avi safety.
No eta on lift opening.
Stomping around in fukin ski boots for no reason. Argh!
They're parked in front of the Crest Cafe firing rounds above 89... if they get the road open they may open the resort later. Maybe.
not sure about that

edit: just opened fo real
AKB, you gonna re-do your kid pics on your berm for pre-post storm comparison??? :)
I guess getting A to posthole onto the top of it might be more challenging today ...
Yep, jumped the gun by dot I guess. I was first thru the cones about 15

AM/SV customer service.
Obviously that philosophy degree is paying off:
"The Shuttle will run when Alpine Meadows opens"
OhKayThen...

We weren't skiing avy terrain. Just mellow stuff at heave. As long as u stay out if control work zones patrol is cool. If yer not familiar heave has lots of micro terrain, not like kirkwood where most of the terrain is exposed from above
Lifts here just started spinning. Oh yeah
The most backwards order of opening lifts at squaw, KT at 11, then Far East, then red dog, last I heard squaw creek wasn't open. Somehow I'm guessing granite is going to open before the team or funi.
That is super epic. wow. Mind blowing. And like everything else, pictures utterly fail to show the reality of it.
I loaded a chairlift at 9:07 a.m. this morning. Just saying. 😉
It was deep. I heart Protests.
3-4 ft slab at alpine today in the sisters.
happened right in front of me, a few people went for a ride. nobody buried as far as i know. 2 guys got close though.
I don't have the balls, the low IQ, or the illegal-in-California zip ties to be that guy.
