I know the first step is to admit that you have a problem.
A few years ago we put up a hummingbird feeder and it was cool to watch them. Now we have three feeders, typically 10-20 hummingbirds and we go to Costco to buy 50 pound bags of sugar. We were gone for a week and we paid a kid to come twice and feed them.
I planted 2 honeysuckle plants 5 years ago which are huge now.
I have hummingbirds all day everyday, I stare at them like some kind of stalker psychopath, sipping my coffee.
Such cool birds.
Jesus Christ pose.

Oh great now I have to put in a gazillion dollar irrigation system for the fucking honeysuckles
Oh, I had a honeysuckle fence as a kid I know all about em, I’m just down the hummingbird rabbit hole.
Mixed metaphor?

Nesting pair on the NH lake we live on. They have 2 fledglings but those are not nearly as photogenic as the parents.

My wildlife biologist buddies had no idea what that growth is. Could be a benign tumor, perhaps a papilloma.
That tick’s been on there for about 5 years

Cathartes aura
I see the same shit all the time. Most people would say wow, that's amazing. My favorite are the pine martins.
But, do you ever get the chance to re-live a dream? I saw a video about a cotopaxi today that instantly tapped into a dream that I had last night that I totally forgot, like most, where I know I was geeking out about an ocelot. It just took me right back to that dream that I forgot before I even made it to the shitter. Crazy how our minds work.
Anyway, carry on. Sorry to interrupt. Just wildlife.
This is the only thread I could think to post that experience in. More things that amuse me? But I really do want to see them both in person. They aren't even similar, but in my mind, I think it was the bucket list rarity that made the connection. Fascinating.
