At least I dvr'd it and got to fast forward to the end.
I was at the Indy tire fiasco race. This one is worse. They should be racing on Monday

and an add, gonna miss the Kimster
What a race today. What a season.
I'd like to be a fan of red bull, but Max is a dangerous punk.
And the team principals of both teams are whiney bitches.

Today was the first time I've watched a whole race - usually, I just watch highlights - and damn, that was intense. Would love to watch F1 live next weekend but it's so early!
As others said. I normally Dvr and watch the opening laps then scroll at 4x just watching the gaps to see if there's actual racing and the pit stops and the end. This one was different I was glued to the TV for the entire race. So much at stake for a single race. I kept thinking Max was going to crash Lewis Senna/Probst style. I like both drivers and Max will likely be a multi year World Champion but he is really reckless IMO. Two teams on equal footing with two generational talents tied with it all coming down to the last race heads up. I don't think I have been this excited about a race

That track was intense - I'll be surprised if it isn't altered in some way for future races.
In terms of the actual racing, I think Hamilton wrapped it up pretty succinctly - "It's difficult to fight with a driver that doesn't work with the same rulebook." I think Verstappen has been tremendously lucky this season in terms of not receiving harsher penalties for his often dangerous driving.
44 is a spoiled, entitled little bitch. Far more than Max is wreckless. Lewis should have been penalized twice for infractions during formation and or yellows
FIA is easier on Lewis than any other driver. MB must be bribing the FIA
The young gun pushing harder than the old veteran
Max has just outdrove Lewis this year
Plus that track was as shitty as the Nashville Indy track. Fucking petro dollars

Is everyone even mildly interested in F1 stoked for this weekend? Best championship contest in ages.
Some great qualifying to watch this morning. Max on pole with softs. Lewis next to him on mediums. Should be a great race to watch.

That seems like advantage Hamilton if he keeps pace/leads in first stint.

Definitely interested in tomorrow’s race. Anyone know how to watch the whole race but not live? Ie - a recorded version. I don’t have the F1 subscription.

So much officiating involved in this sport, for something that should just be so simple as just racing cars.
Complete bull shit
Let me try to explain.
When the safety car comes out, you cannot pass, and they group up and close the gap.
BUT there were lapped cars in between Hamilton and Verstappen....
So with only 1 or 2 laps remaining race control typically has 2 options,
Option 1 - let ALL the lapped cars pass the safety car, and restart the race with Pos 1 and Pos 2 etc in order.
Option 2- start the race with the lapped cars in place, and the lapped cars need to yield to faster cars (non lapped) behind them.
The controversy is that race control did not command the lapped cars to pass the safety car, so it seemed that they would restart the race with Option 2, and Hamilton would have had the advantage.
If they tried to go with Option 1 it would have taken 2 full laps to get the lapped cars in order, and the race would have ended under yellow a flag, with Hamilton winning.
Race Control pulled Option 3 and only told the 5 lapped (only those between Ver and Ham) cars to pass the safety, putting Verstappen right behind Hamilton to be able to race 1 lap to the finish.
Race Control wanted a checkered flag decided on racing, not following a pace car to decide the championship.
Please correct me if I'm wrong in my understanding of how it played out.
