Sounded like the wind raised hell with the snow at Schweitzer. Knee deep transitioning to blue ice with bad visibility limited by flat light and blowing snow. Could be good tomorrow on the right aspects but variable.

weird that never happens
shroom, check your PM
.
Heavy, smooth on the side.
shady was real tasty
Mt Spokane skied great this morning. Eight new that skied really well in the morning, especially on Northerly aspects. Bluebird sky so the sun made southerly and westerly slopes pretty heavy by eleven or so. Only stayed til noon but suspect the afternoon was pretty sloppy.
Schweitzer skied great today (until the lift went on hold)! Should be real good tomorrow. Gonna see how silver treats me.
killer storm skiing at schwizz. top tier windpow, better and better through the afternoon. next few days should be good as I foolishly drive West.

threw one storm slab watch yerself out there
Banger day at Mission. Eight new but I’d call it more of a wind buff day than a powder day. Just enough body to keep you off the crust but still loose. Steeps were fine but somewhat wind affected in the open, some very deep dense, wind deposits. Like knee deep and deeper.
Plake at brundage today. Seen him a bunch over the years. Snow is tits. Another 5 plus foot week.
As Shroom predicted, Schweitzer was veeeeery good today. I didn't go backside this morning as that was where the crowd was headed. Also, no need as the Face, C, E, etc. were great. Lots of untracked goodness for several runs and clear vision. Great day!
Awesome! The pics I saw looked amazing. Pissed I didn’t pull the trigger on the half off deal and go up there.

Plake offered to wax my skis at tamarack this am. Sounds like they are heading north. Silver. Bald(closed) then looping towards blacktail etc.
Dude is the ultimate radster.
Dude, Silver? Hah. The call out worked! Sick!

Wow, what a day at Schweitzer. Headwall this morning was face shots on every turn. Four runs there then into the trees off the top from Sunnyside and more woefully ignored untracked runs through that zone. Skied until lunch and called it a day. It was great storm skiing.
Today was so fun at Silver! Chased untracked until about ten turdy, linked up with Bourbon and Funky for a couple then skedaddled at noon. Creamy turns. MrsLyft had a blast!
Whoa what a day. Shroom and I rolled to silver today to hunt for fresh turns since half the mtn was closed yesterday.
Glen plake was parked in the lot on our arrival. Chatted with him for a bit then went up top. Nailed gate one NF glades opener for knee deep turns then caught Plake at top of three. He rolled all day with us and our local crew of miscreants. He got the red carpet treatment with killer pow turns all day! Glen is a super chill and cool guy. Super smooth on skis as well. What an amazing day!

That is so awesome.
Very cool! What a great way to show the man the goods. Sounds like a fun time.
Fun in the sun this morning at Mt. Spokane. Calm before the storm. Starting tomorrow, a new storm rolling in with 18-30 inches expected at Schweitzer over the next three days. Could be a last shot at some deepness for the season.
Awesome morning at Schweitzer today. That is all.
Rain to seven thousand plus feet? Enjoy the new “snow”?
Yeah, that's coming but the last couple of days were full winter. I'll be outta here by the time the heat hits.
Can confirm very poor skating at the foggy basin. Just awful. For skating.
were you on pink skis yesterday?
the last two days were top tier, sun yesterday into full on storm today
yesterday was too good for many pics, today was a glorious ghost town

Not me; yellow or gray for me this week.
Great sounds from the woods today!
There's been some days lately. I think Thursday had the least "new" of the last 4 but between the wind and empty slopes it was my favorite.
Today was again high end. Im losing track of which was my favorite but I think yesterday was pretty phenomenal.
The last week of Mt Spokane was amazing. My daughter went from bunny hill to riding up all the chairs and my son figured out how to snowboard. It was a great season for kids progression and can’t wait for the next season.

Dammit
Fucking forum up to no good again
Forty nine degrees and silver are my home. Lots to love and lots to hate about each mountain. Forty nine degrees has long been known as forty nine percent. Multiply that one eighty seven inch base by forty nine percent and it’s spot on!Quote:
