The heckle is strong with those guys.

Craik with an insane run, and then Goldstone coming down and crushing him by OVER 4 SECONDS!!!!
Cant wait to see those runs. Jackie Goldenbullulocks fought through a ton of adversity in his first yr of elite. He missed atleast one race with his appendix inflamed or removed

What a race.
Bummed for Dakota, but that comeback might actually help him with contract negotiations.

Great end to the season. Absolutely insane race.
Bummed for finn. Bummed to a lesser extent for Dakota. Both of those guys were on pace - would've been cool to see where they landed with a clean run.
Jackson's on another level. Next season will be interesting, especially with Amaury back.
Things we learned this season:
1) Jackson is for real fast, despite his size
2) Dak is a legit top 10 rider right now
3) there are like 15-20 guys that can seemingly get on any podium at any given race
4) he’s called Super Bruni for a reason
5) Gwin has a career option after he retires
6) the youth of the sport are all amazing.
Finn, Jordan, Jackson etc are all competing at the highest level, add in Pinky when he’s an elite..

7. The semi finals are pointless, get rid of them.
8. The coverage is less than ideal and needs major improvement if they expect people to pay for it.
Agree on 7. Agree on 8.
This was my first year watching live so I don't have the nostalgia of the RedBull years. Unpopular opinion: Rob wasn't that good. HE MOSTLY JUST YELLED ALL THE TIME AND DIDN'T GIVE GREAT COMMENTARY!! Gwin is pretty good but needs a better second booth person. The two other guys with him were just awful. I'd rather listen to ARod commentate than them.
It does seem that GCN listened to criticism and brought Gwin in, plus cleaned up a lot of camera stuff. MSA didn't have the "coach cutaway" and the drone shots were in a place that made sense- the long straightaway. The camera person in the first rock section really liked zooming in way too far on the tires slipping on the rocks and you couldn't see any of the actual rider especially when slips and crashes happened. And it wasn't just a few riders it was every one. Fire that person for sure.
What happened with kade Edward's? He didn't race because of politics/ sponsorship issues? What gives?

1) I felt like Cedric got better through the season. He stopped shouting for no reasons. His insights are actually spot on. The guy sees shit happening in real time that I never would have noticed. Once racers came in the booth, he had someone he could relate to. That said, he’s best as the third guy in the box.
2) People would have hated Gwin if he’d been in there from the get go. But once we saw how bad the other two were, he was AMAZING (by comparison). He’s not a super charismatic dude though, so like Cedric he’s best as a third guy.
3) I honestly can’t stand Rick. He provides ZERO insight on the race. Majority of the time I’m convinced he’s reading from a script. And somehow he feels compelled to give the full name for everything/everyone, over and over again. “Val di Sole Trentino” “Valentina Holl Trek Factory Racing” “Snowshoe Mountain Resort West Virginia United States North America”. I made that last one up, but I was waiting for it. Every rider comment is a generic statement like “Finn will surely know this is his last chance to win a race in 2023”. No shit fuck face.
4) I’d love to see a rotation of Eddie, Wynn, Jack, and Dean in there next year and weed them out until we figure out who’s the best fit. Maybe send Gwin to sportscaster school like Red Bull did with Rob.

I like Gwin a lot. His insights and his calmness are great - we don't need another guy in the booth yelling. And he consistently gives great details.
Agreed that Cedric got better over the season, but he's still just a worse version of Claudio Calorri (who wasn't that good to begin with). Rick doesn't bring much to the table, but I mind him less than Cedric.
I'm unconvinced that Jack or Eddie would be that great. Their trackside heckling videos are awesome, but commentating is a different thing. I don't need to hear someone yell "yeah Gary" and "ohhr noohhr" for 2 hours straight.
Gwin paired with someone who brought some tempered excitement, some humor, and some basic stats would be a great combo.
I know you guys are all about the DH but can we can get a shoutout for a US 1st and 3rd in the U23 XC at Saint Anne? Both are family friends. So stoked for Bjorn especially, has had a tough run of mechanical luck and threw it down today. Riley was a monster.
And another friend won the u23 gravel worlds today. Great fucking work Andy!
Boulder in the fucking house.
Don’t forget Madigan Munro with a 3rd place finish in women’s U23 XC. Super impressive!
Hey, Durango is gonna claim Riley Amos!

Good point. Between him and Sepp it's not safe to ride in Durango either.
But the full list in Boulder is pretty stupid. The next time Eric Brunner or Chloe Fraser passes me I'm sticking a hogie in their spokes. More national team members that used to just be little kids around the house who liked to ride bikes, and who are now faster than fucking rockets. And RIP Magnus White of course. National team Cross rider taken from us far, far too soon. I didn't know him personally, but it's a small town and he was in the circle.
RIP Magnus.
I ended up subscribing to GSN Plus for the first three races, then stopped it for the middle and missed a couple. Signed back up for the last three, but then needed to cancel by Monday and just remembered tonight! So I'm in it for $30 since now I'm on the hook through 11/9. Still though, that season was well worth $30 for me. Fucking all time World Cup racing with shitty coverage and amazeballz performances.
Vital's podcast interviews with Loic, Bernard, etc on the state of the sport is really, really interesting to listen to.
The interview skills didn't get in the way of saying what they've been waiting to say.

I'm not all the way through, but semi's being dumb comes up a few times, guessing there is some consensus amongst riders.
