100 straight in Connections is awesome! My best streak is 43. I'm still at 90% solve with 50% perfect. Still my favorite NYT game.
Strands I'm still at 100% solve rate and have never used a hint in the game. I will admit I had to Google the one on Wednesday a bit.
I usually do the games before 6AM. Yesterday, after getting skunked in Connections, I took a breather before returning to Strands. It did me no good. I couldn't decipher Strands either. I thinks some of those words were not even English. Tilde (Sp.), Umlaut (German). It was a bad day.

Keep playing it In ten years it'll come around again. If you were going to change it to one that hadn't ever hit you would have to go through a list of every answer ever and figure out a starter that wasn't on the list.Quote:

You can lookup a list of wordle answers already used. I do that if I miss a long stretch of playing - just to see if I missed my chance at my starting word (false) hitting.

My starting word finally hit
I still play "Plate" every day in hard mode because that's what the computer plays, so I play to try to beat the computer. Yesterday I got it in 3 guesses, it took the computer 5. I beat it fairly often, maybe a third of the time. It uses math, I use intuition, they both have value.
I play against my wife and one of the kids. I start with SHART every time. I beat them both yesterday. They always beat me at mini crossword. They’re usually under [emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]s for that one.

Fuck. Lost my 460 day streak because stupid covid brain didn't remember to do the thing. Hours laying in bed and just forgot to check in.
I stopped playing shortly after my long streak was broken by one those super lame puzzles that left you burning letters no matter what you started out with

I play a different starting word every day (may have repeated a few faves). Today I applied my logical thinking skills and got a two. Then the WordleBot informed me that I had only two choices for that line anyway, talk about being deflated.
