There is a small chance he is one of the clones, Commander Cody, Captain Rex, or a billion other clones made from Jango Fett’s DNA.

I'm guessing it is Boba. In the book on Bounty Hunters he does survive the Saarlac.
Captain Rex and the other clones were age accelerated so they are MUCH older than the person at the end...who is Boba.
Captain Rex was in Rebels and confirmed to have fought at the battle of Endor in the new Disney canon. He had grey hair.
FWIW: We're about 30-35 years after the clone wars. Rex, Cody and the other clones were grey haired/bald 10 years post clone wars in Rebels. I'm unclear if the age acceleration process stopped once the clones left the facility, or if it's in their genes/dna and they age faster until death. It's probably whatever Disney makes up for the story. Even at a doubled growth rate, the clones would be the equivalent of 70-90 years old which is still plausible that they could be alive at this point.
Jengo got beheaded in Ep. 2, Boba looked to be around 10-14 years old in Ep 2, which would make him 40-49 years old in the Mandalorian, if Disney decides that he survived the Sarlacc. Plenty old enough to look that grizzled.
The added bonus is since they're all modeled on the same adult, any character could be played by the same actor. Speculate away! My $0.02 is that it's Boba Fett because it just makes sense for a big picture plot. Escaped the sarlac somehow on Tatooine (maybe lost his armor in the escape) and has been drifting around on the planet getting is act back together, sarlac killed by the sand worm thing, jawas collect the armor from sarlac corpse, Boba gets word of this marshal in his armor and starts tracking him down. Mando beats him to the punch and now Boba is chasing down Mando + high value asset. WTF would Rex/Cody have to do with any of this? Luke/Leia/New Republic chasing down baby yoda?
Think you meant Jawas got Boba's armor from Sarlac/Sand Worm poop.
Maybe Boba had to give up his armor to the Jawas to survive so now he isn’t allowed to put it back on based on their religion?
I thought boba wasn’t really a mandalorian. Just uses the armor.
Rewatch Binge in effect....
I meant more that boba fett does not follow the mandalorian “way,” but maybe I’m wrong.
There’s supposed to be several other cannon characters this season.
All caught up......
I’m happy with the new episode. I saw on FB today that they’re going to start filming a Boba Fett series for Disney Plus. I wonder where in the timeline they’ll put it. I was hoping they’d find their way to doing a Boba/Jaba/Greedo/ Solo Sequel (with some Lando mixed in of course) so maybe this is as close as I can expect? They could put it in roughly the same time and place as the Kenobi series so it might create some cool crossover opportunities.
Somebody should make a list of everything Baby Yoda puts in his mouth
First on the list: anything amphibian.
Awesome episode. Also explains the crazy question I had about why these Mandos never take their helmet off, yet the others constantly did during the clone wars and rebels. Also how the darksaber parted ways with the last owner.
Love the animated characters being brought to life properly. Bo Katan and now going to see Ashoka.
There’s an actual controversy about the child eating those eggs. For fuck’s sake!
Imperial Orangeface!!
Starbuck!
Heh, when I first read 'Starbuck' my first though was to wonder where D.Benedict appeared, even though I've watched (and enjoyed) the new BSG with Sackhoff.
Fun to see Mr Kim (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) in the x-wing last episode too.
I kind of liked how Mando got taken down a notch by Bo Katan basically calling him ignorant. Pretty funny. Shut him up quick
Bo Katan is a badass mofo. Glad to see she is portrayed well. I hope Ahsoka is as well. She might be my favorite character.
Remember when she is so sarcastic about "the Watch," she was formerly a Lieutenant in Death Watch until Death Watch tried to kill her and her blue armored compadres for refusing to follow Darth Maul.
So much child endangerment in this show, I love it. It reminds me of me taking my kids skiing :)
.. carried in a back pack?!?!?!?!?
Thought he was gonna chomp the chosen one there
For a minute I was expecting The Child to force choke the kid with the cookies. Alas, it was not meant to be.
The inclusion of the "m-count" when discussing the subject was an interesting call back to the prequels, too.
Was Baby Yoda doing the roller coaster wave there? That cracked me up.
Holy crap that was good.
By far the best episode yet.
Can we get Bo Katan and the drop trooper/marshal together in an episode?
I mean i dont want hot girl on girl warrior action but...
Yeah I do
How long before “Dank Farrik” is a strain of weed.
What film(s) were being specifically alluded to when watching the dog fight through the binoculars?
