My out of bounds ski for 2020 is 3DPB. Praxis still has a spot in my heart for the best quality around. And the only ski I actually want from now on is R/R baby. I just wanna ski untracked or soft, i’m too out of shape for shitfuck now. Nobody else is really doing that shape anymore, and luckily the one who is still, is the best around!
I’m just not skiing on point enough for the heavy core #5 Rx anymore. Its not a demanding ski, but I am losing my feet for some reason. Have been since March.

This is a totally uninformed guess, but methinks he’ll rock the Qs for some comps, he had some great runs on those things last year. That cat track crash was so unfortunate, that was such a killer, creative run.

Second day on my 182 Qs. Snowed 8 inches yesterday at breck, today was mostly packed powder groomers and shallow bumps, although I found some powder stashes in the trees. Length was perfect today. Never felt any chatter or that it was unstable at speed.
Love this ski, arguably my new favorite. It’s just so easy and fun. Billygoats with ease in tight trees. The shallow moguls were a blast, was skiing very fluid and fast. Can rail down groomers with big gs turns as well.
Totally sold on the heavy/veneer/carbon layup now. Very smooth, damp, but energetic. Loads of fun. Combined with FKS 180s I think it’s the perfect resort setup.
The ski really does not feel like 118 underfoot, more like 100 or 108. Asymmetrical sidecut seems to do its job, I really enjoy how they turn.
Overall they feel more nimble, more surfy, and considerably more damp than my old 187 enduro Nylon GPOs. Maybe slightly worse holding a tight edge down icy groomers
Of all the skis I’ve ever been on this would be my one ski quiver hands down I think. Would like to get it out info deep light powder to see how it fares there

I’d agree that they aren’t really a jib ski. Quick, slashy, surfy, and poppy yes
The increase in quickness over my GPOs could be partially attributed to the -5cm decrease in length as well

I now own the GPO, ProTest, Quixote, Piste Jib and the Concept. The Concept is the most unique skiing experience I've had. Mine are 5 seasons strong and I want to build a new one in a 182 length with the exact same layup as my PJs and Qs. Heavy Carbon Veneer.
Muggy Qs and Concepts this year! Good fkn times.
I was impressed by how the enduro layup did in the conditions, but agree heavy/carbon/veneer would be awesome.
Can’t forget my Protests! And Praxis Lhasa...
Yes, you could say I have a affinity for Praxis skis.

Having owned both, either would do well. I’d say it comes down to your preferences and style of skiing. Quixote likes the fall line a little more, and likes carving larger radius turns on hardpack. GPO will carve shorter radius turns, and is a little easier to pivot. Both can be shut down and thrown sideways with ease. Quixote has a little better float is is more surfy IMO. Q is more stable charging through crud, although the core type plays the biggest role in that
I would be quite comfortable using the 182 Q (heavy/carbon/veneer) as a daily Colorado driver. Definitely prefer over 187 Enduro/Nylon GPO.
I think going heavy core, and downsizing 1 size with the Q is the best of all worlds - retains the stability and crud busting ability, but shorter length is so easy to maneuver in tight places
