No, I said it was too bad that you don't. As in currently. It would help.

BD - Have you considered diplomacy as a vocation?
fuck no. i'm still in bed warching porn. told the kid to grab a beer and watch afv on his ipad in his room. happy as a clam he is!
Self-reflection is the only time bobby stainless doesn't beat you.
haha i win!!!
At least we have derailed the thread about TGR being full of "Sexual Assault People"...
Give me a fucking break.
Men like boobs and vaginas. Except gay men... They like dicks.
Hope this helps.
Not in a very long time until a few hours ago. When I saw a male tell a female to "fuck off" and "go suck a dick!" because the female challenged the male.
Sad.
No. Groups of people like you exist all over the internet. It is sad that you think it a defense. But it doesnt matter. What matters is TGR Corp's policy on providing a platform for exactly what you highlighted.
Im sorry.
I must've missed the part where you have to participate here.
You're not in Kansas anymore. The times, they are a chaingin.
Seriously, you need to fuck off. I'm not even going to bother asking you to justify what you just stated (your lie), because you have consistently been dishonest in your replies. I understand you have some sort of baggage in something related to this (I never followed your soap opera so not sure what it is), but to blatantly lie about what I've said is pretty douchey.
I can also see that, as I mentioned, you really wanted to discuss getting rid any thread depicting what you deem to be sexually suggestive--which is fine, and a legitimate topic (as I said), but you are incapable of anything but disingenuous discourse. You may have issues in your past that deserve sympathy, but you are not exempted from being responsible for what you post.
heil men and their dicks!
I hate sexism, therefore I superimpose sexist beliefs on non-sexist women for sport. Because that's what modern activism is about.
I am only here to post in this impotent thread one thought.
The world is full of assholes. Roughly 50 % are male.
Revelatory facts.
Good spot on 60 minutes (for those of you who don't know, it is a news show that only old people watch) tonight about Ally Reisman and the sexual abuse of US gymnasts by a doctor, and by the management of us gymnastics who allowed him to treat athletes in their hotel rooms without a chaperone.
At least half of my good friends are women. Almost all of them have stories of abuse/harassment/rape. I have a few people on my “if I get cancer and am about to die, here’s who I kill first” list. Abuse and exploitation of women strikes a chord with me.
Mtngirl, I’m with you, and I’m a bit dismayed at how many guys on this forum fall so fucking far on the wrong side of this issue.
Not everyone did ignore Weinstein. Did you ignore him? Or was he just a person you never met and had no reason to know about at all?
If your point is that anything like the Ullr thread should be policed for an appearance of non-consent (or some other definable moderation) then some specific party has to enforce that because the nature of NSFW tagging is that only some people see the content at all. If your point is that there should be no NSFW threads then that speaks to a broader question: is it better to organize things so that everyone knows what to click on (or not) and thus allow people to choose what they want to see, or is it better to try to suppress the proliferation of NSFW images and/or topics? The latter seems a little less feasible at this point, but obviously there's a spectrum of answers and maybe you've got a better one to offer than the status quo. My point is, specific ideas for what to change are quite different from painting the "community" with a broad brush without suggesting and defending a specific response. It's harder and it's dry and boring since you might have to get into just what's wrong with NSFW images and topics, but it's a worthwhile discussion with a chance to improve things, whereas the blame game is conventiently self-contained.
.
Is it really that hard to understand putting the benefit of doubt with the woman in the naked picture that may have not given consent and may be harmed by the picture rather than the men seeking amusement and enjoyment from her potential exploitation?
There is porn all over the internet. You want it here, in that thread. Even if causes someone harm.
This is pretty much the definition of rape culture.
So you're saying you did ignore Weinstein? I'm saying ignoring something requires at least some level of knowledge. I knew zero about this until the story broke and I don't call that ignoring it any more than I would say I ignore the dramatic events in the lives of plankton I've never met.
I specifically asked you what kind of discussion you want to have and you respond in 3 stages, finally ramping it up to claiming I want something in a thread I don't even read. As I noted above, the blame game is conveniently self-contained. It's convenient for everyone who disagrees with your point because it allows them to be distracted by bullshit instead of facing reality. Every time you play into that you make the status quo a little more your fault. Quit acting like you're incapable of reasonable discussion. That's nonsense, and it's reminiscent of the excuses offered for porn or other addictions. Perhaps because going back to the same overused tracks in the brain for familiar stimulus is similar, whether that's drama, sex or otherwise. It's still a choice, even if it's difficult.
I'll try this again: I'm saying you have not yet given a clear definition of the rules you would like to see TGR or its moderators implement. (I hope it's not really that hard to understand why it's necessary to have clearly defined rules, but if that's your issue please say so.) If you can see the value of not simply leaving it up to whims and such then I would like to see what you would lay out for those rules. That's not an argument, it's a question.
Just about everyone in the "Hollywood commumity" knew about Harvey and it look how long for him to be outed? People knew, but they said nothing. Nobody was willing to put their neck out and say this is fucking wrong.
You might not read that thread, but the vast majority (maybe all?) Padded room posters know what that thread is.
It is allowed to exist, very few speak out against it and are treated very harshly for it.
Everyone who is silent accepts it's existence.
You (the general you) are, again, putting the amusement of men and your standing in the community before the rights of women to be free from having intimate pictures taken and posted on the internet without their consent.
Nothing less, nothing more.
I want the men who take, post and enjoy the nude pictures to akwknowlege the problem exists.. ie, nude pictures posted without consent and come up with a solution.
A real, honest one.
How DO you be sure you aren't posting or enjoying someone's body without permission?
If it was up to me, I would say no porn at all.
It's not up to me, and some of you really seem need porn on ski websites. I dont understand it, but there it is.
How are you sure pictures have consent? Do you care or not if they do?
I promise to not post pictures of naked women without their consent.
greg jumps the shark being a dick. what a surprise.
Greg Nailed it!
She's opening up a pandoras box, and if we end up becoming some watered down, moderated alpinezone then it will fall directly on her shoulders. And she's not going to be happy about the reaction.
Those pictures in ullrfest are all unanimous, impossible to ID, and I'm willing to bet 95% consensual. It's mostly the same kinky, voyeuristic maggots and their SO having some fun.
Sorry mtngirl has these sexual hangups. She should realize not everyone thinks like her, or views their sexuality like her, and she should take that $40 I gave her and either invest in counseling, or a vibrator.... Either way she should go fuck herself.
