Adria if you are real keep up the great work.
Any chance of being able to bring the movement into the backcountry?
What are the next steps after the resorts are awoken?
I hope to someday see a sweet heart carve couloir drop or at least some open glacier carving the heart in the heart of the wilderness, it's poetic justice really, bring the heart carve home to the heart of the mountains.
Just watched the video. Those skis seem to get deflected off the Heart Carve because to their small length.
How do you plan to fix that?
I hear you man. The idea is to produce the short radius ski, and then a long-turn model that will have more rocker and be for people who have mastered the short turn. There'll likely need to be closed off ski runs for the long-turn model as flux capacitors kick in after 88mph and people are shooting for it (and the resorts have awoken to this.) These closed off runs will have all manner of obstacles, jumps, cones, bends.

Then we need to do or see some gravity research off-piste: some real pioneering heart work. I am hoping to negate the need for helicopters in order to get to the summit, just reach 88mph and then bam, you're there. A lot really depends on how my metamorphosis goes here in the land of milk and honey. It's a step-by-step process and it's not for everyone, especially the early stages when various contingencies arise that haven't been mapped for newbies.
The pole cam will have something that makes it more visible and less pointy.
^^^at least he has a sense of humor.
I especially like the wiener cam while on the chair
You won't want to be caught with your pants down when the tsunami hits.
Captain Anal, however well intentioned, already was to a degree with his genitalia obsession. Purify yourself today through heart-walking. I am, because I know how important it is and will be for hyperdrive.

You're just going to get burnt to a crisp, mate.
What. the. fuck.
TGR has mountain dew ads and sweaty men making love all over the front page and I log in to see this fucking nonsense?
What the shit is going on here. It would appear to me that the wheels are falling off this shit hole. and I can't even fucking tell if this guy has gone full retard or is professional troll.
Fuck.
If you're looking for another Sage Cattabriga-Alosa (https://vimeo.com/user342667) wannabe, you won't get it with me. Actually, if it were me, the "wanna" would be too high and the "being" too low. Hence for you may I suggest a particular path in which I have experienced: dissatisfaction, irreverence, discipline, patience, mastery.
Check out the heartcarve training vid on my homepage, if none of this sticks with you, may I suggest the likes of Tanner Hall (http://twitter.com/TannerHall Inspired Media) who can supply all the comps, stomps and romps you'd ever want. Or else you can hangout here on this thread until winter. Right now, I'm designing some snow cones (of the kind to ski around.)
There's also a pretty insightful Jeremy Jones interview.
You won't find darkness in light.
I think you miss the point of TGR and the passions of its posters.
Skiing hard snow is boring and shitty for most of us.
It's not difficult. It requires little skill to just point it down the fall like back to the lift on a perfectly groomed trail; and that's basically the only way for us, and many like us, to enjoy a groomer.
if you're going to travel from Israel to yurp, at least TRY powder. Waste of money, otherwise.
We don't like short skis. We don't like pole cams. We don't like shitty techno.
Please just get that through your head.
Another thing you have in common with Tom from Austria is that your English hurts my brain.
Unfortunately Stuckathunter some people here still dig the pole cam.Quote:
We don't like pole cams.

How about some summer heart walkin video?
I pooped today!
What's the point of being a powder ski fanatic unless you live on or close to a mountain and can pick your days to ski when you actually have it? And at that point, how quickly is it gone? Can you access a helicopter? Are you going to trek out for hours just to have a minute or two of it? A shot of powder will only fix your brain for so long then you're in comedown for days.
Also, how many years does it take to gain the mountain experience to make it safe? For intermediates, can they get access to mountain guides when they need it?
Looking at a typical TGR film for me is really great, but it's like reading about a superrich startup founder's life, for most people it just doesn't happen like that in real life, even if it happens more often for people here on TGR and is still fun to read about.
I brought up Tanner Hall because he can kill it in the backcountry and the pipe (and moguls too apparently.) Heartcarving would be a good way to diversify one's skillset if you manage to fit it in.
Backing out of my driveway, getting there, suiting up, and getting off the top of the Griz lift at Snowbowl is about 50 minutes. And that is a long, slow lift.
Depending on when and how much it snowed, powder can be found all day, and even days after a storm.
No heli ops that I know of in Montana.
You're again missing the point. Most of the people on this board live within an hour of very good skiing.
Not only do I know how to carve, I'm really good at it. I'm from New York. I know how to get much bigger skis that you seem to like way up on their edges. It's more fun that way. Small skis are a little scary once you're used to big skis. They feel like children's toys.
So my "skillset" is plenty diversified.
Carving hard snow fucking boring.
You don't need a mountain guide to ski powder. Nor would I travel hours and hours at great expense to avoid it.
You look for ski tracks and you follow them.
Intermediates? Yeah, that pretty much sums it up right there. BORING. And if you need little tiny things to skid around on hard snow, you suck.
Enjoy living in your comfort zone. No one cares.
I think you have skiers confused with lemmings.
You are joking right?

He's had a number of very bad accidents over the years but recovered.
He seems to take skiing to the next level, although he's just a very high profile dude with his x-games and freeskiing wins so can't comment across the board. I doubt he'd have the mountaineering skills of stuckathuntermtn, though.

I won't sell him any heartcarvers though just so you people can have a leg up on him.

Now I appreciate the term gaper. You just can't throw this term around loosely or it'll come back and bite you in the rear end.
This reminds me, I love tacos!

It just struck me that this guy is probably Heartriding so had to post it here.

Notice some of the comments:
trihalogen: It's such a great video, i love it!!! This video reflects the feeling to be free, and i know what it means. I drive my bike for 20 years, please look for "trihalogen" in youtube search. You will see me and my little one on the Bike and she loves the Harley. Greetings from Germany
swastikausa: if you are German you know bmw is superior motorcycle
salemcripple: Only pussy wannabes care what make a bike is. Ask any TRUE biker, they'll tell you it doesn't matter what badge sits on the tank, so long as it puts you on two wheels.
Fuck Yeah.
This thread is fucking hilarious.
It would be better if it was an actual troll.
So do you find heart "insert verb here" everywhere?
I mean, it does :rolleyes2

and has anyone trademarked these terms yet...? Has it made it into the dictionary? Not hating, just curious...
Comet. First draft.
November Update

November and Psyched (4:57)
- skis (speedboards) will be 155cm -- around 170mm tip, 68mm waist, 150mm tail, waist 7cm forward of midline. Reverse camber, handmade wood ski. I want to drop into my carves when I hit terminal velocity. Not sure how these would be in park and powder.
- polecam is a very high quality black carbon-fiber pole extendable to around 170cm with an extra long cork grip (not as cold as plastic) and good for two hands. Up to 2 ball-socket camera mounts opposing each other at the top end. With two cameras it's good for framing oneself and behind (or in front of) oneself simulataneously. Retracted, it could stick out of a backpack or with the camera mount removed it could be locked up with a cable lock. It shouldn't be a big deal to carry, and I'd prefer to carry it than a backpack with it inside.
- I think most pov polecam is poor due to camera placed above pole, thus the lower part of the body is obstructed in the frame by the shaft - this polecam can avoid it. Also, many polecams are not streamlined, are too short or too heavy. Polecams can be difficult to use when maxing out, but this one should make it easier as it is light, and easy to hold with two hands or rest on the shoulder. It also has a safety ball that can be placed on the end of the handle to absorb shock should one hit it in a fall. The idea is to let go of it in a fall anyhow and it doesn't have a wrist strap.
- polecam video should be up in around 2 weeks. Skis about 6 weeks. Actual skiing: end of January, early February.
- last winter I found the polecam really useful for filming park jumps by standing off to the side of a jump and placing the handle on the snow and using it as a monopod. With dual camera mounts, I'd like to place it beneath the lip with one camera pointed to the sky and the other pointed at the landing. Also, leaving it standing beneath the lip or at the side of a jump means the filmer can go elsewhere for additional angles and cams. The pole could also stand unmanned at the edge of the pipe, one pointing to the sky, the other down the pipe. I've found it's best to dig a small hole and bury the handle so it remains rock solid if unmanned.
- In fast turns I found my gloves falling off due to them not gripping a pole. I've got some elbow straps now so they can stay attached to my body. How do snowboarders get around this problem?
key vids:

- http://vimeo.com/23825247 (3:31) - Soul Driven: long-board skateboarding to James Brown with a polecam

But can they withstand the cold and be fast enough? Aerial chase cam from a drone would be awesome.
- http://vimeo.com/34987368 (4:03) - nice pov skiing shots - with a polecam the camera would've been further away from the body and it wouldn't have picked all the bumps and vibrations if the arm and shoulders stays relaxed.
who... hurt you?
ahhhhhh
he's back
aaaaaaaaah
