Shhhhhhhhhhhh
Its snowing. And the winds seem to have died down, at least for the moment. They were fucking vicious last night. Yesterday morning the peaks were beautiful and white after a week of snow and low-winds. Caught a glimpse of them this morning in between clouds, and they look scoured, scarred, and raped by the wind.:cussing::cussing:
A little bit of a break this weekend and then the pain train of storms seems lined up again.
I love the pain train. Was gonna tour on Sunday but with this wind and the current rating, I think I'll wait until things settle a bit. Keep it coming ULLR.
After a delightfully sunny weekend, it is once again snowing. Not too hard, but big ol' fat flakes!!!
That is all.
flurries in Vail currently and 33 degrees. This weekend was nice. Looks like Wed/Thurs is the next potential for some decent snow for the area. Pres. weekend looks sunny and warm again. Next week seems to be cooler and more stormy. Lets hope the snow machine gets stuck on high again soon!
looks like the San Juans are poised to get hit this weekend. All areas should see some snow. 41 degrees as a high on Wed prior to the front passing, that is warm.
montana-
pretty sure you mean to say "this week" as I'm calling this weekend sunny and fair.
Looks like Friday is shaping up for the Aspen/Monarch/CB/WC folk.
I need some sunny and fair to get some stabilization happenin so I can quit meadowskipping so ferociously.
Bump for stoke, is this thing going to come in tonight? It's way the fuck out in Utah at the moment...Must be hauling ass if it's going to do what Noaa much less snowforcast claims
late tonight for Eagle county...around midnight I think. It was 47 degrees in Vail today!!!!!! Crazy warm
SW looking to claim the top spots. Slight chance I'll be at WC on Friday.
100% humidity in silverthorn at 35 degrees and dropping.
Looks like it's been raining hard in the valleys. Keep your eyes open for suddenly re-appearing streams.
no snow and still 33 degrees in Vail. Cold front appears stalled north and west of here. Our 5=10 inches of snow is now down to 1-2 inches. Oh well. More sun and warm for the weekend.
Damn. Looks like I won't be getting powder till mid next week cause I'm not doing the crowd control thing...
any more info on the Cameron Pass slide? Did the whole diamond face slide off?
I've been waiting all day, but it's finally nuking in Breck. Hope it keeps up enough to cover the sunbake from the last few days.
snowed in Vail most of the day. About 3 inches in the valley and the mtn reported 1 overnight and 8 at midday. Super heavy stuff at the house.
^ I saw that. Would have liked to be there but made some money so I guess it's good.
Snowmass had 10-15" new... puked very hard during the midday hours.
Things start to look again after Thursday. Just in time for my trip to Carbondale next week :D
looks like the rest of the month could be a return to winter. I'm ready for more blower!
I hear that montana... bring on some more storms.
According to the best forecast site anywhere, snowforecast.com ;) , there isn't shit coming until next week at the earliest. Looks like they changed their forecast from this morning.
I hope that's the case, like usual.
looks like some snow for the end of the week/weekend. Too soon to tell where or who will get the most, but at least some new should fall.
Next week looks like a "STRONG" high pressure and warm temps.
Looks like someone's been doing their snow dance!!

Those that can make it to the SW, should; 5-day PPT totals are looking solid.
70% chance of snow for today 1-3 inches was the forecast....sunny and 38. For the first time since Nov. I have no snow or ice on the road, driveway or deck at my place. Amazing how two months of snow and cold can be done away with in two weeks of sun and warm. Maybe some more snow this weekend to freshen things up a bit. It does feel nice to sit on the deck and drink a beer.
Looks like Sunday should be decent.
3-5 for tonight and 1-2 tomorrow. Southwest flow takes FOREVER to impact Vail if it does at all. I hate the SW flow.
Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening looks like a more NWerly flow and stronger than these last two systems.
Sunny and a strong high pressure ridge next week...warm temps.
MS- I'll be up at the Beav early tomorrow- give me a call or PM me if you want to meet up.
