I have the Reighty seven comp so I went for the am one hundy
Only skied a groomer and some skiing with the kids this past Sunday but I loved the stability and quietness of the AM hundies
Can’t wait to get into some more techy terrain with them

Snow was pretty firm but some northern aspects were holding some chalky snow, whether it was wind transport, and if found I could carve or put in some nice slides in the bumps or some of the smoother steeps

My minus eight cm mount with my two nine five bsl might be a hair too far back, but still ok
If I had to do again I’d mount at minus seven
Im five-eight and weigh one eight five to one ninety

- 166 Supernova 100 for the wife
Will she actually like the skis? No idea...but she needs a fatter ski and they sound like they might work for her. And they are pretty.
For me, I kind of want an alpine ski in this slot and they sound fun. Something between my 84mm Stockli Monteros and MVP 108s. The stocklis rip low tide, but require a fair amount of effort and concentration off piste, especially in old/heavy snow...not much for noodling around (and also there's a tension between trying to keep their edges razor sharp and skiing them over crap...). The MVPs don't feel like they range as far down as my prior 104 underfoot daily drivers, so there's an opening in the ~100 range.

The AM100 has been my new favorite skis this year, you will not regret the decision and it is a great fit in-between those to skis imo. It's been pretty low tide in my part of the world this season and this ski does all the low tide things I want it to do and more. Rip scrapped off to soft groomers? Check. Steep chalk bumps to slushy mank on these 50 degree Feb days? Check. Popping off side hits and arcing through janky bumps at 25 MPH? Check Jump turns in a punchy 40+ degree chute barely wide enough for the skis? Check.
I am looking at the BC100 for my daily driver moving forward after how awesome the 100 has been for my inbounds skiing this season.

Welp while giving my beloved Deathwish one o fours a tune today I noticed a crack in the sidewall. These have been my low tide skis for two and a half seasons now and I've loved the piss out of them but it looks like they're going to be bumped down to rock skis. My question is how do the AM 100s compare to the DW104? Im tempted to just pick up another set of DW but Id also like to expand my horizons and diversify the quiver with some HL beauty
This AM 100 is much much more damp than the DW104. Personally my time on the 190 104 felt a bit harsh. Both are easy to pivot but the 100 isn’t excessively stiff like the DW. Does a much better job at absorbing bumps and impacts. My AM (first/early run) is a touch on the heavy side at 2330 but it’s not tiring to ski. Was just talking to my buddy about how the 100 has the craziest ability to be fucking glued into a turn and then with the slightest bit of heel pressure can be kicked out into a nice drift. It’s a really fun ski. Accomplishes the same mission as the 104 just in a slightly different more supportive way.Quote:

Sounds pretty sweet. How would you compare the flex profiles between the two? And should I go 180 or 187? for reference I was on the 184 DW and loved it in that length for what I was using it for. The rest of my skis are between 186 and 190 so I enjoy longer planks but also liked having the DW as a maneuverable option that could still be driven hard in firm conditions. Basically, does the AM 100 ski shorter, longer or appropriately for its length?

I was on the 190 104 and the 187 AM100 is more than enough.
6foot 200 I have a feeling the 180 would most likely be too short, if the 187 still feels plenty maneuverable Ill happily go that route
