This is my first season without unlimited Abasin access. Usually Len is open in Nov and very often Pali in Dec. I rather enjoy a few early season days... used to be at LL when the separate basin pass didn't throw a monkey wrench in my pass calculus. No LL pass. One behaves differently when days are limited. I only have 1 basin day and 1 Key day in because BME and the Marm are meh... No Len. Lucky to ski in Oct/Nov at all, but I've been biking and enjoying the ocean.
This will be my first season in a long time not skiing Abasin and nothing has made me regret that decision more than this thread. I miss my bags of dicks.

obviously dex is not being honest and using getting run over by team summit as an excuse
a) ran into some front range punks or newly minted locals who had twenty days in by mid nov. he was upset that they had more stoke and coolness than he did and they acted like they owned the place
b) realized he sucks as skiing
c) showed up expecting wall to wall skiing and got one icy run
d) some crusty basin local put him in his place for being a dip shit
all the gapers went home and the place as empty yesterday

As someone who worked 3 seasons at Vernon Valley and 3 seasons at A Basin, I feel fully qualified to post in this thread.
pics on al's blog show chairs being put onto lenawee! still sounds like a mid december opening. I feel like they are waiting for a little more snow than normal to open pali with access to slalom and west wall because if they opened it now it would see a bunch more traffic than it normally would and from people that have less business than usual riding pali. purely speculation here and it is totally possible there really isn't enough snow and the snow that is there is garbage. Been skiing copper in the meantime so I haven't even been up there to see.
