Highs of 100 here but the humidity ramped up, dewpoint currently at 60. Will be happier when it is back in the 40s and 50s.

its been a warm week, all the way up to 80 but thats very temporary, summer of 95 they told me to fly up narth to see if i wanted the job, it snowed in august but I needed to get away from the failed marriage & took the job anyhow ...twas a good move
Happy Anniversary of the hottest recorded temp day in the modern history of Terrace B.C.Canada. July 29th, 2009 saw a high temp of 37.3 C degrees at the despairport and 39.4C degrees downtown behind Tim Horton's.
Hit 35 yesterday and wuz hoping for a run at the record today but don't think we're gonna hit it. So close but yet so far.

So if 101 feels like 106 what is 106 (tomorrow's forecasted high) going to feel like? Skin on fire?

so this one time in band camp, we went to Havana ( lots of upspeak) and stayed at the club Atlantico
cultural exchanges are a foreign money source for Cuba so there were 3 Canadian h-schools on our redeye air transaat plane from YVR
our local h-school band teacher runs a trip every couple years so he can stock up on cigars
for any americans trying to get away from americans ... there aren't any
Prince Rupert. Winning in the war on heat. Almost two thirds cooler than Terrace just an 1.5 hours drive inland. While the rest of the province is broiling under a scorching sun, Rupert is cool as a coastal clam.
We have the classic setup of a persistent high pressure system over our region (and beyond) where it's super hot inland and super cool in Rupert. The fog bank has been 'just right' for the rupert folk...rolls in the late afternoon/early evening and retreats a bit in the daytime hours givin' the denizens some vitamin D. When the fog is in place, temps are hovering at around 13 degrees C. Wouldn't surprise me if some folks r heating their homes at night.
Meanwhile, just out of the fog zone to the east, a twenty minute drive brings a guy to persistent clear sky and 25 degrees and further east in Terrace where I live temps have been in the low to mid 30's for over a week.
Another winner in the cool column is Haida Gwaii island chain (Masset) just west of Rupert. Sunny weather and doesn't get hot....temps in the upper teens and low twenties and super chill island vibe.
Some rupert scenery pics during a trip to the coast cool off a few days ago.

still maybe hot many places, but this is over the hump week as far as I am concerned. seems to be this week that the highs start dropping and that rate increases thru august.
may not be a noticeable difference from last week, but the brutal summer days are diminishing and ski season is getting closer and closer.

i have schweaty balls
Actually rather cool here today but the fire danger is extremely high. We're having a "cool dry front." 87 felt so civilized yesterday! Next week it's a steady climb back up to hot as Hades temps.

it's 80 degrees and 75% humidity here
JHC...winter can't come soon enough. Rode the bike last night...I died. Can't get enough water this morning!!!
at 10 AM it was 82 with 93% humidity. It's just oppressive out. The air feels like mud.
Sure hope this is weather, not climate.
If this is the new climate I'm moving to Newfoundland.
56F @ 6:00am here.
Fiendish use of fans moving air out/in. Inside temp @8:20 is 66.9F. I'll have to shut down and close up the house shortly.
Forecast is for 90F.
Usually, I can keep the inside temp below 70F until about 1:00, then it rises to about 74F by 5:00pm when it's 86F outside.
No AC here.
Going to be 108 today, 111 tomorrow and then a nice cool down to 102 on Friday.
Crazy...fog rolled into Golden Gate Canyon, temp dropped to 52 so far...can't see more than a hundred feet or so. Freezing my ass off and had to close windows.
