I hate the fucking Patriots. Tom Brady and his underinflated balls can suck my ass.
lol...
There are a lot of reasons people might wish to come here that are unrelated to inter generational income mobility. this country is a good place to be an immigrant. It's also not a good place to be born into a low income household. The two concepts are not mutually exclusive.
The measure of newly wealthy people is a bad measure of economic mobility. A better indicator would be the ability to move from the lower class into the middle class which is not what it was a couple generations ago.
In regards to comparing our economic mobility to that of other nations, of course we're better off than a lot of other countries. I think the sticky point is a lot of people believe America is really at the top but in reality we aren't. In any case I think a comparison of mobility between generations in the us is more useful than a comparison of our current state against other countries
I completely agree with this. I was lost in my own naivete-- obviously the middle class has a chance of being succesful. These riots are not about the middle class.
Sadly, its generally a stepping stone process-- lower class for the firstone or two or x generations, then that breakthrough to the next level; and then that is repeated again with the next generations. Although I still believe with hard work and luck this can within a minimal amount of generations.
My great uncle on my maternal side emigrated to Ellis Island from Greece with no money, two dead parents, and no english skills. He worked at a grocery store, and worked hard and worked his way up the chain, until he eventually bought the stores. He died two years ago and I'd peg him at 30MM (he bought a series of franchises).
Sadly these stories are few, as the barriers to entry are huge-- trying to crack into a whiteshoe firm from the lower class would be almost impossible.
Baltimore riots continued -
So my son had a soccer game scheduled at the beautiful, historic, peaceful and multi-racial Druid Hill Park today (just north of the rite aid). The team from Westminster (read: sheltered whities) cancelled the game and wants to reschedule it. The commissioner of the league said yes. We say hell no. You forfeited the fucking game, losers. We are in the process of writing letters. The girls team from that area also didn't show, so the two Baltimore teams scrimmaged each other. We want to schedule a scrimmage against the sheltered ones.
Don't they have to give a legitimate reason or forfeit?
If they didn't burn down the Taco Bell, perhaps you could meet there with the Westminster coaches and hash things out? Difference's always get ironed out over a nice meal and some malt liquor.
Exactly.
I am sorry you can't grasp the concept.
That's the problem with intelligence. Not everyone deals with the same amount.
its either A - buying 2 cars for 115k is stupid as fuck
or B - I am dumb as fuck and think buying 2 cars for 115k is good idea
and C - DD is way smarter than any dumb beer drinker could ever be
Neither.
Buying the cars for 115k or 1.15 Million is not the point retard.
The point, is financing the cars at .9-1.9% APR, is a better financial decision than putting the actual cash into the vehicles.
Now if you think buying two cars and spending $115k is a dumb idea because that is "a lot" of money, fine. All that means, is you are not very wealthy.
Now kindly STFU mouth breather, and go back to worrying about the rise in Gordita prices.
