The irony of catch and release snagging is too much for me.
Post a pic of the other side of the fish.

I was going to say something similar.
Maybe if you sight fished a plankton fly I’d be almost impressed.

Option #2 is take them home to the smoker.

option 3 - take the roe, cut off the paddle for a trophy, chuck that bitch over the gunwale for the turtles.
Back in the late 70's I was working for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. This particular day they had me working as a creel clerk. Ran into my first paddlefish that had been caught by a commercial fisherman. About 100 pounds or so. At that time, Russia had an embargo on caviar. He was excited because the fish would bring him several hundred bucks.
Not a fishing boat but...all new big block G2's on our local ski team tow boat - a twentiesh foot Dyna-Ski. Rerigged and converted from the old school 90 degree big block Etecs the last few years. The middle engine is actually a 225 but for continuity they changed the back panel so they would match, the front panel is correct so it says 225 HO when you look at it from inside the boat. The dealer decides what HP goes on the boat based on what he has sold/thinks he can sell. My old man at the throttles. The coolest part is the fully integrated screen/display on the dash. So awesome.
