I think the beauty of Intuitions is the foam they use in the liner. They tweak that foam to arrive at different stiffnesses and densities and feel for different liners. I think all the Intuition liners are insanely good but in different ways. I don't know what you mean by "originals" in your last question so can't begin to even try to answer that question.

Sorry, it was super confusing....I meant if you start with the original tongue liner that comes with the boots, what's better, a tongue intuition or a wrap intuition...

but I think your above answers it.... I'm just wondering if going back to a tongue liner (albeit an intuition) is a smart move.

^^^^^^ What shells are you putting the liners in?

My experience (I also have both) is that the Luxury just can't compare to the Power Wrap for heel hold power and responsiveness. My Power Wrap and Power Wrap plug liners have significantly stiffer Ultralon foam and combined with the Power Wrap provide performance that the Luxury liner can't match. I think there's a reason they call it a "Luxury" liner :) - doesn't really evoke any feelings of top of the line performance.

I've been paging through this thread and was looking for some of your own feed back on the warmth of liners. I get cold feet real quick and wanted to know if you guys/gals noticed a difference.

I have older dalbello krypton with stock liners if it matters

My older Intuition liners are so much warmer than my current Black Diamond liners (which many people have commented run cold) it's not even funny.

I totally agree. The Power Wrap liner is also quite a bit stiffer than the Luxury liner

Intuitions are significantly warmer than the old stock Dalbello liners. Almost any new liner will beat your old packed out Dalbello liners which iirc were not closed cell foam

The Intuition liners are very warm. I wear the thinest socks I can get and never have had a problem with cold feet in my three years of using powerwraps. And like LeeLau said the are night and day better the the stock liners.

Love love love my intuitions. I replaced the crap garmont liner in my endorphins with powerwraps after one season. Result was a stiffer boot that still skins decently well, and WAY warmer.

The Garmont G-fit liners that came with my MegaRides were okay for warmth, with my feet a wee bit cold at -15C or so. The Intuition wrap liners I replaced them with are warmer (-15C and my feet are WARM), more comfortable and tour AND ski better. They kill the stock liner in every category. No compromises.

If you have a tight shell fit (10-15 mm or 1 finger) get the 9.0 Intuition for a 27 shell (match the size). If you need to make up some volume I recommend going up one size on the liner. If it ends up being a bit too high in volume just bake it again and the foam will become denser and shrink up a bit more. Of course this will make it a bit stiffer too and slightly less warm, but it will be more responsive.

The Radium/Intuition Liner Combo is very popular here in JH, a match made in heaven. The Intuition gives the right just added stiffness, allowing the shell to drive some pretty big skis.

I asked this in the group buy thread, but this is probably the more appropriate place for it:

Is there anywhere online where I can find info on the heights of the different liners? I haven't been able to find it on the website, though maybe I'm just missing something.

I'm demoing a pair of the 2.0's for them.. will write a review once I have some big touring days on them. On first try though, they are very very comfortable!

You're best bet is to send them an email to get cuff heights on the models you're interested in (and then post the data back here of course :smile:).

If you're buying them second-hand or after-market you're really going to have ask the seller to measure them for you. Why? Because Intuition has actually changed the height of the liners from year to year - for the same model name.

You kinda answered your own question (if you've read the thread). Go with the 26 if "pretty tight fit" means you have about a 10-15mm shell fit.

I emailed Intuition. In the current line they have the following heights at liner size 29:

PW, Alpine & Freeride - 12 3/4"
MV Luxury - 13"

Just noticed a new liner after a quick glance at one of the mags, Powder?

A tongue liner with a plug fit, thinner sole, looked like a beefier heel retention. Anyone have details?

Intuition 2.0 liner. Has a new formula of foam that's easier to fit off the shelf. Still can be cooked but it is more likely that it can fit someone's foot without cooking - or - the heat from that person's foot will mold the liner easier than the previous generation of Intuition foam. Has different thicknesses of foam.

So far, it fits beautifully. At least as stiff as the Luxury liner. Thin footbed foam meant my foot got a bit cold in the latest Whistler cold snap so I may need a bit of foam padding underneath as insulation

LeeLau have you done one of your excellent reviews on this yet? I would be interested in seeing how this compares with the Luxury low volume which I just installed.

I haven't yet but to summarize, think of it as a better fitting Luxury low volume.

Is this "2.0" stuff what the Pro Tour is made of? It feels different than my other intuitions (power wraps and power wrap plugs).
