While under oath, Tulsi told the Senate intel committee that she had not known that a Cleric she met with in Syria had threatened to unleash suicide bombers on the US. She lied about that. 2017 documents show her aides specifically flagged the Cleric's threats against Americans. She also claimed that she didn't know about the threats until the day before this week's hearing. But a non-private one year old (Feb. 8, 2024) Gabbard google doc shows her team anticipated this specific line of questioning about an Iranian backed network of suicide bombers being activated in the United States.Quote:

Talking about trump discussing peace with Russia.
Says the guy who had a peace conference without Russia. Is this when possible, to discuss peace without the country you're at was with?

No it is not possible to discuss peace without the country that you INVADED
yeah, Rod is using Putin's framing. Putin wants people to think this war is between Russia and the West, not against Ukraine per se. Putin's goal is to delegitimize Ukraine. That's why Putin doesn't want to negotiate directly with Ukraine. If Putin has to treat with Zelenskyy as a legitimate counterpart then a lot of his propaganda falls apart.
Zelenskyy also said he doesn't mind if Trump discusses Ukraine's plan with Putin. His objection is not America talking to Russia in itself, his objection is America excluding Ukraine entirely because that would be dangerous
Well, zelensky knows that the decision making rests with the us, and he tries to get himself in the middle.
Probably worried that the gravy train will stop and he will lose the 10 percent skinned from the top.

Gawd you’re a useful idiot.
That feels like the kind of thing Luigi Mangioni would say about his discussions regarding rod.
Rod's latest talking point is trending on social media. President Zelenskyy mentioned in an interview that the military aid numbers everyone bandies about are nowhere close to the numbers Ukraine actually received. The explanation discussed here at length, of course. But the simple minded seals clap along believing the money was stolen rather than acknowledging what really happened: appropriated drawdowns not drawn down, most of it spent on American defense instead
Everyone forgets how lucrative the market is for 10% of a HARM.
you can't debate with an idiot rod. You jumped the shark here a long time ago.
Ukraine is decimating Russian refineries. Last three weeks has been impressive. How will this play out?
What if Ukraine told Trump that in exchange for getting all of their territory back and kicking Russia's, that he could build as many hotels as he wanted? They would get all the help they needed right quick. Then they could pull a Trump and not actually hold up their end of the deal.
Or just buy Trump coin.

Pump and then dump once they get their military aid. Could work!
Jono I saw you at the ski hill the other day, we were both putting on skis to ski down to Creekside from the Fallline lot. I waved but you skied off. I’m glad to see you still ski, I was beginning to worry you only posted about Ukraine on TGR these days.
So now military aid to the Ukraine is gonna depend on the deal donnie can get for their mineral rights.
That is likely true. ^ Need to cater to his narcissism

^ CSIS earlier this week "A New Strategy for Containing Russia"
While we could have done more to support Ukraine and still can, overall the EU/US containment strategy has worked well so far. A bunch of bad outcomes haven't happened. One example of something good is the conflict is much further east than Berlin this time. One of them thinks Trump is a "peace through strength" guy, which could be great for Ukraine, but I haven't seen that. ("I haven't seen that" = refraining from saying something political). CSIS advocates Russia containment, though it may take decades again.
I'm skeptical about containment, given the increasingly multipolar character of the world. It's not clear Russia can be contained by the EU and US. There's a bunch of rising powers, who will all be tempted to trade with Russia and cash in on the containment discount. And at the moment, there's Xi, who profits from the existing order, but also feels safer in the "dictator world order" proposed by their forever friend. The EU isn't clearly on board with containment nor are they unified. And the US has internal disagreement and schizo foreign policy. Hardly a determined bloc to implement a long term strategy.
Unclear why Ukraine wants nuclear weapons. They are not a deterrent unless Ukraine is willing to use them. And there's no way us will allow this.
Maybe zelensky wants to sell them, to cushion his retirement fund?
