The return of the monsoon has been so welcome after a few years without. Love some lightning shows all night and great dirt the next day!
New to this forum and am moving to SLC next week. I'm really looking forward to the skiing this winter and am going to try mountain biking to kill time until the snow falls. I've gotten a recommendation to check out Go-Ride Bikes which is close to my new home, but have no clue what I want or need. I'm sure they'll be happy to sell me everything, but seeing that mountain bikes run $2000+ these days I'd prefer not to get screwed over. Any brands to take a close look at or to stay away from completely? Is there anyone who rents bikes so I can try a few different ones and see what is going to work for me?
I did Deer Valley lift serve today, was REALLY good conditions. Probably a dust pit again by Saturday.
Berms on Spiro still holding moisture!!! Unfortunately forecast is calling for hot and dry conditions developing into next week so take advantage this weekend!

No but north fork has camping which is 20 minutes in the valley of liberty. Also has mtn bike trails Happy to ride with you but I’m slow ;)Quote:

The good news is that all bikes are awesome these days. The bad news is that $2k will only buy a fairly low-end full suspension bike, especially if you are buying from a shop and not one of the cheaper D2C brands. Everything will probably work great, but low-end parts are heavy. Most shops do demos and will credit the demo price toward your purchase if you buy from them.Quote:
