Ukraine

Russia wants Ukraine to be its economic and political thrall. Ukraine, after being subjugated, brutalized, and exploited, said fuck that! We want to escape corruption and be free!

NATO membership is voluntary. The only country interested in having Ukraine join NATO is Ukraine. WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS XYZ?

There is only one country invading/threatening its neighbors in the area... who could that be???

Why did the Baltics want in NATO in the first place? Why did Finland and Sweden want to join all of a sudden? What ever could have motivated them???

This war is over. Trump ran on ending it. The majority of voters expect him to follow through.

Funding will stop. Europe doesn’t have the standalone capacity support Ukraine to fight anymore.

Ukraine will have to concede territory. NATO aggression into Ukraine will end under trump. Putin will chill without a NATO threat.

Would have been nice if these isolationists had showed up prior to GWB getting us involved in Iraq. Many of them were cheerleaders and or whole hearted participants for that whole debacle. If their stance now is because of that, they got the wrong takeaway.

Europe has the standalone capacity to liberate Ukraine from the Russian occupation. The question is do they have the will? Poland does. Hell, they have the will and capacity to roll tanks into Red Square, if not for the Russia nuclear deterrent.

Russia invaded Ukraine.
NATO is a defensive alliance.
Russia repeatedly is the aggressor state.

NATO membership is voluntary and the alliance is defensive. Nobody promised the countries BEGGING to be protected from Russian invasion could not join in mutual DEFENSIVE alliances.

If true, why do you care? How does that lead to thinking putin is in the right? How does that make invading Ukraine, raping Ukrainian women and kidnapping Ukrainian children ok? If such a credible alliance existed that was actually defensive in nature? Well that doesn't exist so your hypothetical holds no water.

Let's talk about what is actually occurring: Do you believe that large authoritarian countries have right to dominate and control their neighbors, and use military force to occupy and annex any democracy that dares not be a puppet? If so, why?

If not, what are smaller countries under threat to do?

Why do you think NATO exists? Why do you think small countries want to join it?

When in your mind did NATO go from the good guy, a defensive bulwark against expansionist Communist Russia, to threat-to-Russia-bad-guy? When did Russia go from communist imperialist bad guy to totalitarian imperialist yet-some-how-good guy? Explain this?

What alliances do Russia, Iran, north Korea and China have? You don't know. They aren't democracies. They could have an offensive alliance. You have know way of knowing. You can easily know that none of them have "your" country's interests in mind.

Yet when countries which would see us fail could be stymied, you say cut the baby in half? Why? That makes no sense.
