Oh shit, that sounds really bad.

Yeah, it was just really bad luck. Slipped on a 1” piece of lasagna on a slippery floor.
Probably can’t bike in Mexico (I planned this trip last June) but I’ll be OK.
Wtf?! Of all the things. Good luck!
Good thing you didnt hurt the joint. Hope the tear isn't too bad. Only had one serious tear. Pulled a ham. Big training block then set off out east to start the racing season. 4 days in a suzuki samurai across the interstate to ontario. Got out of the suzuki super tight and pulled a hamstring. Laid on the beach for 2 weeks before i could ride again. Hurt for another 2 or 3 but it came around. I remember that doubt, if i should or shouldnt be doing anything. I think they hurt for a while after you get going again and 2 weeks seemed like an eternity. Hopefully the same length for yours

Is this a good compound? Seems like a great deal if it’s soft & sticky.
know nothing about Schwalbe other than having the distinct impression that the Mary is the only tire worth considering. Their different rubbers gives me a headache.

I think vertstat is their softest compound. Crc email today has schwalbe on sale too. MM is a good tire especially if it might be soft dirt or semi muddy. Not the best casings though

Vert star is high grip and fast wear. I only use them for races. Addix ultra soft purple is similar but not the same. Soft orange is better for everyday usage.
There is a comparison PDF on the CRC website

The Michelins are definitely a little narrower than 2.5WT DHFs. Not a lot narrower, but noticeable to the eye. They don't look too squared off on 34 mm rim, though.

Do they expand a bit after being mounted?
Heh...heh
When do they hit dirt?

Which Michelin’s are those?

Nice! Maybe testing new gear will speed up the process. Im interested in hearing your impressions on them anyway

Ack. Just blew a new Exo DHF off the rim while setting it up and stretched the bead bad enough that I'm pretty sure its totaled. That was a stupid 60 dollar mistake.
How?
Too aggressive with the tire levers?
Air compressor was how i did one.

I thought they made tire beads out of material that doesn't stretch??
Yeah, a compressor shouldn’t matter if you aren’t vastly overfilling it.
Ive found their beads overly loose sometimes.
