Why yes, I am aware of sugar protectionism.
I’m also aware that Coca-Cola uses high fructose corn syrup instead of more expensive sugar because of said protectionism.
You may have known, ok. But think of how many people have just learned about it since Warren said "rat poison squared." That's Bitcoin working to save the environment right there.
"Warren Buffet made me drink soda!" Funny how something from the 1800's took WB to make it popular.

We saw in the aftermath of Sam Bankman-Fried & FTX the extent to which the crypto industry is a political force with their politcal donations made to both sides of the aisle. As a result, crypto has seen lawmakers of both parties take pro-crypto stances. It's one more reason why so many of the crypto narratives are wrong. We should start to think about crypto in the same way we think about Banks & Wall Street, or TradFi in general. Crypto is both an upstart competitor and a big player trying to enact its own protections and regulatory capture.
Then they fight you
FFS!
How about an example of a bill that passed with votes from both parties that I strongly support:

Jong votes to pay 85% tax rate.
Id take care of it right quick. Austerity motherfuker. Our government needs to be cut in half. I personally know ppl who work in gov, who do nothing. Not too mention defense nepotism etc etc..
Show me you are efficient and smart w taxation, I'm all in. Show me you are a bloated lazy entitled fuck stain w my money you can fuck right off.
Have at it: https://us.abalancingact.com/2023-federal-budget
No serious person believes that the budget is going to ever be balanced by spending cuts alone. Which isn’t surprising since it was tax cuts that created the majority of the deficit in the first place.
No one is asking for an immediate budget balance. A slight easing off of the out of control waste spending would be a start
