Billy is the real deal. It was a notch above the level I was expecting when I saw him for the first time this year.

Brandon "Taz" Niederauer was great last night. It's the third time I've seen him the past year and each time he gets better (and taller). He's 16.

Dude it's one of the original Flecktones, Howard Levy. He came back last year. And Futureman is behind the drums.
Extra white dude was Howard Levy, original member but left in 92. Saw them a few times in the 90s but it was after his departure so I'd never seen him with the band. Plays the harmonica and piano at the same time, brilliant musician.
As for futureman, he ducked back behind the drum set right as the pic was snapped. If you look closely you can see the pirate hat and part of the drumitar.
It was a great night, Mrs Flounder had never seen them. I put them on the list of tickets for Flynn shows this year and she didn't ask much about them until a couple of days before. Of course CDs don't capture how good they are live and she's not a big banjo/bluegrass fan. She's hooked now.
Cool, that makes sense, never saw him with em as first show was 94ish.
Glad you could enjoy
saw The Dead South 2 weeks ago @ Warsaw. Was exhausted from the week and was standing in the back. A fight breaks out and kills the vibe in the whole place.
Billy Strings this past Friday @ The Cap. absolutely incredible as expected.
greensky bluegrass this friday @ beacon.
wood bros next thursday.
greensky bluegrass shocked the hell out of me this past Friday @ Beacon.

Shitty pic but I was sitting down, it was the 2-week anniversary of my hip replacement, cut me some slack.

the steve miller band just dropped his 2020 summer schedule. not playing harveys lake Tahoe summer concerts this year, darn. may have to go see him somewhere without the sun setting over Tahoe this year.
Mr. Bungle is back playing their unreleased demo Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny and other covers with Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo. Great show and worth the flight to NYC.

Celebrating the 20 year anniversary of that song/Album in a tiny downstairs of Hill Country BBQ with about 100 other people?
Good times
Just bought my Levitate tix, they still have them: https://www.levitatemusicfestival.com Great lineup. Should be a couple hippies in attendance.
Theo Katzman (of Vulfpeck) tomorrow night, that should be good.

And I have been rewarded. 4 shows announced so far in North America. Going to see them in Toronto Canada as that was the best venue for a lazy fuck that likes to sit occasionally. Got great seats. Stoked out of my fucking mind.
What to do in Toronto?

Always good, albeit different, when old med get together to play in a ban. RE: Eric Clapton tribute to Ginger Baker
