Go Benny!
Military acumen of participating in losing twenty year wars with sheep herders. Right.
This Canuck is heading there to help (paramedic in training) not even Ukrainian, just going there because what Russia is doing is wrong.

I wonder how many folks who identify as Ukrainian are on the way? I also saw where Ukraine is waiving visa requirements to folks willing to come fight. A couple of hundred thousand would make a difference IMHO.
Fuck that fucking fuck Putin.
What are your qualifications, other than being a long time douchebag to an internet forum that your claim to fame is being a curmudgeon, skiing once with Harry, and pocketing breakfast meats?
I'm a proud citizen of the greatest country in the world, the USA! And I have a smartphone, just like you.
Dam. That takes some balls.
It’s one thing to join an army, but to just show up to throw Molotov Cocktails at Russian tanks is another level.

I wrote the same thing this morning to my congress critter.... strive to give Putin a way out. And fuck that guy
And from the comments:
Quote:
The Russians inability to have combined operations between the Army and the Air Force Logistics is a simple reason why they don't have anything like SOCOM for the Special Operations Command in America that can integrate all aspects of your military to be coordinated in any operation between the American Air Force Navy Army and Marines the Russians also do not practice at decentralized command with their front-line forces. The reason if you allow all branches of military to coordinate your front-line troops and your special forces the ability and permission if you will to take actions on their own to further their objective and to handle any unexpected issues is in the eyes of the" dictator " a real and present danger for that military to be able to coordinate to have a coup to overthrow the leader in this scenario it would be Vladimir Putin. China has the same command structure that Russia does for the exact same reason the threat of military forces combining together to then overthrow you as the leader so you do not permit them to be able to have direct communication and coordinate their own actions and manoeuvres out of fear that it will be used against you. Doing so put you at a massive deficit in capabilities on the battlefield when you are fighting against a country like America or Canada the UK most western military forces if not all. A strong man would rather have disadvantage on the battlefield then I have to worry about the real and present danger of the military coming and deposing you in a military coup so you keep them separate with yourself at the head of the whole military apparatus that way if one branch wants to try to overthrow you I assume their thought process is they would be able to still have control of the other three to stop the coup attempt but if they're able to coordinate and combined their arms in a coordinated manner there's not much a dictator a strong man would be able to do to stop that from happening especially when you are talking about a military with the competency and capability of the Russian military just my opinion my apologies for the lack of punctuation and some grammar choices I'm having to use voice activated text and they are prohibitively difficult when doing so so I do sincerely apologize
Not sure how legit this is - looks legit

Media seems to have been keeping the war carnage off peoples screens
That looks pretty real to me. I hope there were not hundreds of them?
Ukrainian president said that 116? Cruse misles had been fired at them. So there had to be alot of that
Ukraine was producing a number of tb2s themselves for export in a jv ; some of the footage of tb2 kills Ukraine has provided have been with Arabic script screens so not intended for themselves originally and they’ve killed a fair few things with their bayraktars of footage is to be believed
Not sure if it’s good or bad but the reputation of Russian arms in general should be fairly shit after this. The excuses for bayraktar kills were “well, it’s against poor people” followed by “well it’s against not quite rich people who aren’t Russia” now they take out sams and a train. Maybe Russian gear isn’t all that great operationally? Maybe it’s just a coasting legacy of crazy?
So many pics and videos of Russian bombs and missiles that landed and were duds.
Yes. And this is the lesson that the Europe forgot in the last 25 years. Sadly, UKR is paying for it dearly. The demolition/mining is absolutely critical tool in channeling the attacking troops into preferred areas for ambushing and mopping up. Things would be vastly grimmer for Ruskies if adequate measures would have been taken in prepared positions & minings, especially in the northern front. Luckily things are not utterly disastrous.
One has to remember that the Slivovik's vs Oligark's animosity is bubbling under the surface. In Russian plumbing, shit flows both ways. Slivoviks like Lavrov & Shoigu operate with a very different mindset than, say, Timtšenko or Deripaska. Putin is certainly not sleeping well as he knows that if a new powerblock takes shape, Putin will have a one man tea party.
No one bets on the efficiency of these systems (THAAD, Aegis Ashore) as it is limited. As someone here mentioned, if sticks start to fly, it is game on->off.
What is disconcerting is Russians new NOTAM in Barents sea, it is unusually large. What this could mean, in an absolute worst case scenario, is that ruskies will not only have a ballistic missile test launch around Novaya Zemlya...but actually detonate one smaller yield airburst as a show of force.
Russias actions have been sooooooo out of the norm in the last weeks that basically they are using all tools at their disposal to make a point and rattle the cage. This posture would be an enormous spanner in the works, as many countries without the protection of nuclear umbrella could start to slip from the sanctions/unity...or be driven even tightly to NATO (looking at you FIN/SWE).
They are operating but with limited effectiveness, apparently the first day strikes too out a lot of infra/planes. But as stated in the news, Pol/Rom/Bul/etc are giving their Mig-29s & SU-25s to Ukr and getting other replacements from Nato/Us in return. So within a week, Putin has effectively managed to double Ukraina's airforce in size. The other thing is turkey is apparently flying in more Bayraktars and there are talks that Balkan countries would donate Israeli drones as well, but that needs to be cleared first by Israelis.
This. Russias airforce has been an utter failure so far. There is an excellent article floating around the interwebs, but basically it boils down to deconflicting; apparently the IFF systems between the air defence and aerial assets is in such a bad state that combined operations can not be performed safely. It is either or. Add to that the poor condition of the airframes, extremely limited number of PGMs (some intel suggest they have been all used up), poorly trained aircrews (sub.100hrs/yr) etc. Another factor is that Russians know that their infra is susceptible to EW/IT attacks, they dont want to risk (at the current stage) that their own SAM batteries would suddenly start to shoot down their own aircraft due hacking.
One has to realise that the gloves are off in the west; they are supporting Ukr with extraordinary means...that are not visible. Electronic & IT warfare, information shaping, intelligence, target designation etc. Ruskies thought they had the upper hand in this field, now they are shown a different kind of reality.
Well, in few cases they are not actually shown anything as they are jammed so badly.
That is merely for political purposes, EU admission is a complicated process with different levels of vetting (corruption, judical system, banking etc) so that will not happen, per se. But, EU has committed itself like no-one ever thought it could. Even the EU fanboys are utterly baffled, let alone EU critics...or Putin.
It can not be underlined what kind of paradigm shift has happened in the last week.
It is ginormous.
It is order of magnitude larger than ginormous.
It is almost as big as Bennys dick.
This. The Russian Wunderwaffe has been shown to be a paper tiger; "modernised" tanks, SAMs, EW, Air assets.
But these shortcomings pale in comparison to their biggest problems: Logistics performing extremely badly, command is utter shit, intelligence integration is not suited for their (confused) operational strategies at all and finally, their high command has been kept in the dark of the real state of their military capabilities.
The paper tiger has been outed and The Real Tiger (China) is licking its lips, and being clever, is not interrupting its enemy (Russia) making mistake after mistake.
Tri Ungulate loves to play with his drones.

I came across this old article (from 2 weeks ago), while looking at what EW entailed.
They are talking about how the west and ukr are totally unprepared for the sophisticated modern and electronically savvy Russian force.

In light of what everyone can clearly see, and Meathead's assessment, it's incredible how far that turned out from reality. It's almost like the Russians got hustled.
Yeah, you should be following whatever TASS says. That's what's gotten Benny his understanding of the crisis...
China cracks a fresh beer and enjoys watching Putin stick his dick in a wood chipper.
Is it true that the US has NOT halted purchases of Russian oil? WTF?!
The US for sure, but also Europe, need to cut those assholes off like yesterday!
This is WAR and we're still playing footsies underneath the table with the enemy?
