Just think, we sent the lakers 4.5 million, but the elementary school down the street, aka germ factory, nothing.

Very short sighted relief package. Long term this will be like a war, future costs will be a multiple of the immediate damage. Getting some people back to work will require a cattle prod. Economy is toast. Socialism will be a necessity.

Now we have 3% in some places with minor mitigation but surrounded by places with more extreme measures in place that are more like 1.5-2%, now imagine if only something like social distancing where possible and events where lots of people from different areas congregate (funerals/weddings, etc) and in general, more normal life. Not having been educated in the US, how did your education system fall so low? Ghosts, creationism, climate change hoax, Trump. Probably should shore up critical thinking skills and readin writin ‘n rithmetic, and less on exceptionalism myths. Could take a couple of generations tho.

Not sure how I feel about it’s removal given all the bullshit YouTube doesn’t remove. Agreed, but the same can be said for the Flu where not everyone that gets it is accounted for, right? Somehow we trust those figures of mortality rates for the flu wholeheartedly enough to draw a comparison with Covid to illustrate one's point one way or the other. But if we eliminate the variables and focus on just known facts like the number of people overwhelming hospitals and dying then there is no comparison to any flu season is there? 60k in 5 weeks considering the drastic measures the entire globe has taken to mitigate spread? And we STILL want to compare it to the flu? I don't get it.
