Definitely not covered at AB when I left at 12. Was dumping when I left though
Blowing snow all day at LL. 9 never spun. Snow depth was variable. Crunchy underneath. In the mood was good.
Death crust before noon at LL off 1. Left as I had to get back for the afternoon in Denver. Could see it being realy good this afternoon/tomorrow if it never ended up letting up. One of the windier days I've seen this year, never made it off 1 because of it.
Based on the wind at the top of 1 early, no way 9 spun.
We'll see what happens tonight. Maybe not worth it tomorrow if we don't get a good night of snow? Sounds like one of those times when there's extremely variable powder - tons here and death crust there?
FWIW, Breck was definitely death crust this morning but ski'd t-bar stuff again around 3 before it closed and it was starting to get pretty damn soft. I'm thinking the basin will ski pretty fun tomorrow regardless.
Prob 4in at Berthoud pass when we left around 2. Never really dumped but snowed all day. Definitely crust underneath, hopefully we get another 4-6 afternoon/tonight to make dawn patrol tomorrow worth it!
Is the storm over or is there more tonight likely?
Looks quiet on the LL cam
Nuking on vail pass right now
The basin was pretty awful today. Extremely variable and hard underneath the little bit of fresh they had. Would take warm and sunny over 8" in 48 hours this time of year.
did you ski zuma all day or something? The basin was really fun today! Spent most of the day sending the west wall cornices and falcon cliffs super far out. there were deep ass pockets for landings haha
I think you need someone to show you around there when it's these conditions... haha and yeah lets have it still be 50 degrees so it melts that much faster!! :rolleyes2
Cameron pass was good this weekend. Mahler coolies all day Saturday:

10" new at LL. NW flow FTW
^How'd it ski today?
I didn't make it up but am looking to tomorrow. How was AB today, anyone?
It has snowed off and on for several days up here. Good week to slow the melt!
Skiing has been great around the RFV lately. This past Friday was a winner for corn harvest. Saturday sorta was meh with the wind and all, then Sunday was a pow day near the Margy hut above Lenado.
Corn harvest should be in full effect this weekend with the warmer temps.
I'll answer my own question. AB is good today, deeper than the 5" report, but off Pali there's still coral reef to trip you up. Higher up is better. As expected, great spots and wind blown spots. Great for April 30 though. Lower and Upper East wall not open and no patrol activity.
Edit: 10" to a foot in Zuma. Below the cornice is deeper and not scratchy.
Patrol working on the Wall.
Anybody ski Cristo recently?
Powder nom nom trelease northeast and then pow S facing dry gulch and got a bit heavy in the pm on SE facing trelease for home run.
Nice. Glad some of you are getting after it. Landscaping work season is in full swing, so no weekday love for me. Pow this late in the season is sweet - especially great to get a few days of cool temps to help preserve it.
The upper 80% of Stanley Slide was plump and tasty this morning, if not necessarily well lit for pictures.
