Install 60's mustang hood scoop
Clean up wiring
Thermoswitch for electric radiator fan

Those Canada Post bags are awesome. When/Where was all the stuff sold off? Was it government surplus auction?

Gin pole for a Polaris Ranger. Not too fancy, but very useful. Already have plans for a better second version.

I'm going to be starting on the same thing pretty quick. Girlfriend decided she wants a garden box. I'm no carpenter, but I figure any man should be able to blast together a box without much trouble. I recon I'll buy 2x the lumber I need because I only measure once. 1x6 rough yellow cedar I can get for pretty cheap
Build it and they will come...
I did up some planter boxes for the mrs on the weekend. Got a great deal on some 1x6x6 that someone had the local yard cut to 6 ft lengths. So that necessitated the length a bit.

You guys are making some deep ass garden boxes! Lots of dirt!
i had to line the bottom of mine with chickenwire to keep the burrowers out.
caveman? It's gardening. Laps!
Lhutz...name change? And get that plastic shit out of your garden man.
Yeah 18" is deep but it will also serve as a bench near the fire pit. Will add weed cloth and wire to keep the little fuckers out
showing off gardening boxes. I made 3 recently out of some of the Doug fir logs that I have laying around from a long term thinning exercise on our little property. The older bed that's falling apart in the pict, I made that in 2010. Initially, it was a sand box for the kids. It's milled Doug fir. It survived a house move and multiple relocations. Lasted longer than expected. (the dog loves the manure, as he should)

Stock tanks make nice, easy, cheap plantar boxes that will last a lot longer than any kind of wood. I think they look good, some don't.
I like that too. I'm also looking for metal culvert to make planters. I've got another made with a wooden crate lined with weed cloth. It will go up on blocks

We used cardboard instead of pot cloth.
I need to get starts and seeds in the dirt and put up temp hill people fence to keep the deer out. This project is cramping my spring skiin steeze... grrrr
Yeah me too but it's worth it
We do the cardboard thing too...kills all plants weeds underneath better and then composts eventually, IME. Here's a shot of our garden, built all the boxes and fence.

i'm not too crafty but my heart's in the right place! my son is named after my grandpa, who died when i was month old after meeting me once. apparently he was quite artistic in addition to being a logger. his long time logging partner felled a tree on him in winter weather. he survived 8 hours in the snow before they got him out and two weeks in the hospital. he did a lot of cool stuff, including woodburning this dragon on my dad's bedroom door with his name in cursive underneath. i'm doing the same for my son but on a movable piece of wood. i've never woodburned anything but the box i buried my 18 year old cat in. this is just a practice run on the wrong kind of wood i hope. any pointers are appreciated.
i copied the door on a copier, then used graphite paper to put the image on the wood.
