Yes that picture was shot at Villa d'Este which is on Lake Como.
Lots of pretty cars on that track!
Matra V12?
the Quattro's 5 cylinder was memorable.
Mercedes straight 8 from a 300SLR or W196
McLaren M8
I have a soft spot for Ford BDA 4 cylinder having grown up listening to them in my Dad & Uncle's Mexicos.
Stratos? V6 is supposed to be more "musically" pure.
Jeezuz, I would love to own one of those: "The 3.8-liter flat-six out of the Carrera S is humming along, mere inches behind us. In the GT4, it makes 385 horsepower, which is 15 horses shy of what it does in the Carrera S, but 45 more than the Cayman GTS and 35 more than the base 911. Below 5000 rpm, the engine whines and whirs; spin toward the 7600-rpm redline and the pulsing turns into a 10,000 conga-drum jam-o-rama. The six puts out a big 90 decibels at full whack. Don’t worry, though; it’s a pleasant sound, never annoying".
What is the collective noun for Maserati 250f?
A crackle?

No. Although, I get to drive all the cars that I post, they belong to my brother. He is the car freak. He has a mechanic

They are actually coming down. That car would've been 200k a few months ago.
Could've bought all I wanted for 60-70k when I was with Porsche. :(
I stumbled across this by accident. Wow.

I'm just curious. is it an Italia, challenge, or a speciale. and what year and mileage? Valve stem seal or valve seats? Was blue smoke the symptom, or something else? Did he need to pull the Eng. for the valve work or for other Maint. (timing belt Ect.) I don't need to know, I'm just wondering.
It's not a Speciale.

I think the challenge has it written on the intake as well, now that I think about it.
Same thing with Italian bikes. As a former VFR owner I've come to learn that a bike having no "character" means it performs flawlessly. I guess it's wondering if your gauges are going to work, if your odometer is going to shut down, reset itself to zero, while also converting over to Centigrade and KM, or if your battery has enough charge to move the huge pistons when cold, etc. is "character". That said, it's infinitely more wonderful than the VFR. Had both for 6 months and kept the Aprilia.
